    thanks for the video, watched it last night. Went 4x4 today, used all your tips. I lead a convoy in and out of the desert based purely on your vids

    Amazing video, thank you!
    I am wondering how can i determine whats on the other side? On a motorbike you approach at an angle. When i go straight and realize there is an obstacle on the other side - can i reverse back when already across the crest? Or will i get stuck on top?

    Good video! Any tips on how to avoid crashing into someone else on the other side of the dune if no sand flag?

      Thanks. Drive up the dune and once the car front tilt down then brake to make sure no one is there before you continue to drive down the dune

    If i drive an automatic car, should i put it on M?

    • @BZTAchannel
      @BZTAchannel  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you always put it on manual 1st or 2nd gear. Never use automatic gear in desert 😊

      USUALLY I USE 4H AT 2ND GEAR TO CLIMB DUNES . IS IT RIGHT ?

    • @homehome7279
      @homehome7279 Před 3 lety +1

      Actually it is is depending on the type of sand and height of the dune

    • @BZTAchannel
      @BZTAchannel  Před 3 lety +2

      To climb a dune there is two ways, 1- Climb on first gear and maintain the speed so your car does not shift to 2nd. That is used for small to medium size dunes. 2- For high dunes start your climb with a good speed and momentum on 2nd gear and once you feel the car is losing momentum shift down to 1st gear to keep on climbing. both methods requires practise to master as so many factors play here like the type of the car, the type of sand the angle of the dune.
      Driving on side of dunes (side cresting) you need to approach the dune with a nice momentum keep the momentum while you start to shift two wheels on the other side of the dune stay for like 2 seconds then shift the other two wheels. Again with this skill try to practice on small dunes and then slowly you will master the big ones.
      Just remember to stay safe and have fun :-)

      Depends on the height of the dune and the type of the car. But all in all, try to shift to 1st gear and climb and if you see that your car shift to 2nd gear very early on your climb then try to climb at 2nd gear and when you feel you are losing momentum shift to 1st.
      Always use 4H driving in desert and 4L ONLY when you are stuck.

      Many factors comes in play in the desert which is why practice is important.
