My dad had a friend that was the primary reptile keeper at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago in the 60's. He took us once to the lower level of the reptile house that was not open to the public. The "treat" he showed us was this enormous enclosure that was just slightly lower than where we stood and it was full of crocodile! I immediately froze in place and couldn't wait to get out! I've lived in Chicago all my life and I've been in LPZ's reptile house once!
Love Lpz gone through it all my life .. feel bad for the tigers all caged up ..
His job is literally my worst recurring nightmare.

I think crocs are loyal animals though. I don’t think they’d bite him. I’ve seen this father in Florida feed a crocodile for years in the water by his house. The crocodile is so used to him, where his kids can get in the water with the crocodile and he’ll just swim with them lol. He literally comes and hangs out with the kids in the water, it’s crazy

If you’re going into a pool with 100’s of alligators, follow these two rules: 1) make sure they’re small alligators. 2) Show up with a crate of something tastier than you.
