Another great song, it's great to see Westlife have some US fans! Once you're done with the album reactions it'd be great if you could react to their recent Chinese performance - they sang a whole song in Chinese

There are a lot of US fans, I've been a fan since they were IOU. Shane said in a recent interview they may be touring here in 2023 as America will be part of the World Tour, but only mentioned places like Boston, etc where there are large Irish and Asian populations. I love watching reactions and always love US reactors though. As it does expand the fan base that much more :D

This song and lifeline were written by the same person, Amy Wadge. What impresses me the most is Shane voice's melancholy. We can hear his regret.
What happened with Shane? Or why the regret you said
Shane wrote Lifeline for his wife. That's what he said in the interview. Mark and the other person are listed as cowriters.
I don't know what is Shane's regret is, though. Unless, you mean that he is skilled in interpreting the meaning of the song with his voice and making the audience feel what he feels.

Was waiting for this!! My fav of the album. A bit slower but I like it coz it’s late-old school Westlife (where we are/gravity album). Also like it loads coz it’s pertinent and relatable in my life right now.

The song is perfect.
The only thing I I wish for is if Shane did more of the Chorus because he added more emotion and the song is emotional. Only he, has that kind of soulfulness.
And at 7:24 it should have been all of them singing like a choir, same time. That would have been powerful. 4 male voices together would be a blast 💥
To me the only downside of their album is Vocal arrangement. They need to use and trust Steve Mac more and stop using pride when arranginging vocals.
It'll be unfair to compare Westlife as we know it and the Westlife that's trying to stay relevant in the current music scene. Music of today doesn't have the same standard as when Westlife was at their peak.
Kian and Nicky needs more vocal training. Mark needs to calm down and try singing with emotion and soul than just hitting high notes.
Shane needs to stop apologising for his talent and being used for more verses in Westlife.
The producers need to work on the vocal sound mix of the current Westlife and stop placing voices in verses where they just don't sound good or they do not make the listener feel the emotion of the songwriter, just to please individual egos. Westlife needs quality vocal soundmixing.
