@@AutoGlory That Mustang NEEDS Sub-frames installed basically under each front seat and a good strong cross Brace over and under the motor. They'll help transfer some of that power to the ground and reduce the body from trying to twist. Look at all the things that can be done to help transfer all that power to the back tires along with losing some of its weight. I THINK for every 100 pounds lost equates to an improvement of about one tenth of a second in the quarter mile. Maybe even move your battery to the back of the car and or purchase a lighter lithium battery. You may not beat that Porsche, but you will notice a difference while not breaking your wallet. Stickier tires will also help. Remember spinning Ain't winning. I LOVE Mustangs

Who buys a car based on the outcome of a single race? Sounds like you don’t know anything about either car.
A different tune could change the outcome of a race, so could one small modification, octane, quality of fuel, driver, condition. Many factors involved
To answer your question-
You can modify any car to do whatever you like. If you could afford a 992, price is likely not a large concern in that context.
991.x has been out for longer and would likely cost less to modify due to a lot of the r&d already being done for you by other people and of course the car costs less.
If you plan on doing more than bolt ons/tune on stock turbos, it doesn’t really matter what you go for.
Depends on your goals and what you’re after, also how big your budget is.

Maybe still stock motor. Street racing is limited to its inconsistent surface grip. Even still, you still see some guys ramping it right up, even on the street.
This Mustang has lost every single race. I think it needs new turbos or a new tune or something. A TT 5.0 shouldn't be losing this often. 😅

@@greebuh its not the need to be built its who is running the biggest turbos/ volume/ boost. The B58s on here run 900whp and 60-130mph in the 4s completely stock engine.

They are both FBO, one tuned on 93 and meth, the other on MS109 race gas. This Porsche is running just about 700whp+, and the 992 Turbo S is slightly more aggressively tuned, probs mid to high 700s to the wheel.

@@leisurexs2844 yep, that it did lol. Not that difficult to see why, it's way heavier and less aerodynamic, and the Porsche is, well, a Porsche. That tune is also amazingly well dialed in. Top of the line engineered, superior to just about everything else. I was just correcting your statement that Stang is built, only the trans is built, at this power level that's a requirement. And it's running the smaller 55mm turbos that the hellion kit can be optioned with, rather than the normal 62mm. A fully built Stang is a completely different animal to this one, don't kid yourself

Just like Europe uses the metric system, the US uses a different system to calculate octane. 93 US octane is equivalent to 98 in Europe and 91 US octane is equivalent 95 in Europe.
