Catapult hunting was once a common practice for survivalists, and it remains a valid method for bushcrafters and those interested in field to fork experiences. Wayne shares his experience with his own design EVO Field Pro catapult and his preferred ammunition. This is fascinating and I’m glad this sport seems to be gaining traction. As a kid I hunted semi-successfully with wrist rockets, but then began hunting with slingshots almost two years ago. I especially like taking them with me as I’m big game hunting with a rifle or bow and then if I see a legal small game animal or bird I can take it with my slingshot. It’s quiet, in my opinion inexpensive and exciting. Have taken multiple species of rabbits, ground squirrel, grouse and invasive birds to the US.

I've gotten plenty in the past with my black widow and still take it out in my bag on walks, just in case. I've had the same one since a kid, only thing I've done is take the wrist brace off.

Your right Wayne.. my mother used to make rabbit and vegetable pie in gravy I can't remember our family buying much meat it was almost always hunted. Under the south downs which luckily has become a national park...cheers for uploading...

It depends on the time of year. Shorter in the cold, longer in the hot. I have an 81cm draw length, and use an active length from 16.5 - 17.5cm 👍

Yeah for sure, but start off with a cheaper version. There are starter kits on my website, and a lot of info in the FAQ section. That’ll be the best place to start 👍

They are totally safe to eat. Everything Wayne hunts, he eats himself personally
Absolutely. We have wood pigeons and city pigeons.
You only want to be taking the wood pigeons with the white on the neck. They’re much smarter and cleaner. Double the size too.
