    Thanks for all the info! I was curious as to which building I should close the deal with. When I was in Dubai shopping for apartments, their were many different builders, and surprisingly, they all had terrible Google reviews. This left me unsure and unconfident to make a purchase. Perhaps you can shed some light

    Hi Joe, what happens to my investor visa if I want to resel my off-plan flat? Will it be cancelled? And if so, will I no longer be entitled to have a current bank account in the UAE?

      If it’s your only property, then yes you’d have to cancel it. If you have another one you’d be able to transfer your visa into the other property.
      Then, with your bank, you’d have to cancel as well, or you could switch it over to a savings account. The banks usually allow that but your current account will no longer work.
      I suggest, if you want to keep your residency but sell your property for profit, you should setup a business and transfer residency into that.

    Is it usual to haggle on off plan properties? Secondly is that a way to know how much each developer has sold the same units priviously? Like a government property transaction list.
    I really dont want to get ripped off.
