Lets Talk BOXIN', respectfully, I believe The Hurricane would've beaten HAGLER, but would give Carter a very tough fight. Both these fighters had so much heart and determination. What's your thoughts?
It would be a draw it's a shame hurricane really got locked up in the prime of his career it really really wod of been good if they did fight fight one of boxing greatest fights that never happened
Good matchup, Hagler wins
As a Bostonian, I followed Marvin's career from the very beginning, and I knew him personally, slightly, from when I trained at the Petronelli brothers gym in my twenties. Meaning no disrespect, but he would have knocked Rubin Carter out. I used to watch Marvin spar at the gym, and nobody had the firepower the he had. Even a lot of the pros at the gym thought twice about sparring him. Not only did Marvin have 13% higher knockout rate than Carter, but I think it's fair to say that he fought at least as good or better competition.
I loke ruben but the fight can go either way haglers aggressive and irion chin and southpaw style and rubin carters hurricane built power in his hands
It realky depends i think if it goes the long distance lile 13 14 15 rounds hagler win by knockout but fir ruben atleast to the 7th

Hagler was very tough never knocked out he fought tough philly fighters like benny prisco beat tommy hearns and duran and beat john mugabi the knockout machine aka the beast it would be a war

Rubin Carter's claim to fame as a boxer was his win over Emile Griffith, outside of that he was nothing special and no match for Hagler.
Rubin HURRICANE Carter defeats vets, Florentino Fernandez, Holly Mims, and only lost to The Champion Joey because he failed to knock him out, but was the aggressor against Joey Giardello. Rubin Hurricane Carter is heavily underrated. Who won all 6 rounds against Jose Gonzalez only to lose by Gonzalez’s dirty tactics of using his headbutts to cut The Rube. Hagler is nothing compared to the real LORD OF WAR.
I’d say Gonzalez would destroy and give a heck ton of trouble to any of the four kings, And RUBIN dominated him.
The make a blanket statement like that is based on nothing fighters make fights. Frasier knocked down alley questionably maybe 12 fights foreman beat the living snot out of him my example.
