For those who want an answer ! You need to empty the ball of the carburettor before storage !The older aprilias used to have a valve to switch on and off !I think that this does not (50 or 125) ! So you need to remove the fuel hose and then let the bike empty it ! Secondly if you still use the oil pump make sure that it has oil to send to the cylinder not just add oil ! After that, check the spark plug and clean ! For the last step, remove the air filter and clean it (i do this before storage) !Dont spray carb cleaner on filter you will dissolve the oil on it and potentially ruin the filter of spil some inside the air box ! If you want to go with carb cleaner remove the filter ! Also, i hope your windows were closed !
It seems that fuel start from a can works okay, like i did in the video. Right now it is in storage for the winter, so i can only tell when i need to use it again.
I haven't ridden it in the winter months, it is in storage. But in november it still had it easy starting. I only used it in the weekends, and it still could start with only choke. So no worries.
@@l0kyy Yes i both know and agree, however I had been out traveling. So the bike had been still for 3-4 weeks. As for the choke i also know, I had used the choke before the video started, that's why you are not seeing me doing it.
While experimenting with jets, the carb have been disassembled a stupid amount of times. A while after this, it had also been taken apart. Never had any grime or similar in it. But the bike has been sold anyway.
@@rs250cc why is the carb empty in the first place ? Only reason the carb would be empty is if the tap was turned off and the float valve was leaking , or he turned the tap off and let the carb fully empty before turning the bike off.. ... Silly question really mate

Hi Phill, do you hava a problem again with starting after long stay? If not, how you fixed this problem?

How long does it usually take to start on really cold mornings? Does it need any choke?

if you ride it at least once a week it doesnt have a problem with starting.... but you have to push the choke on

Should not have to do any of that , choke on and it should fire up regardless if it's been sat for weeks .. means your carb is starting to gum up

How is the carb suppost to fill up with gas in a second?
