Guess what? "little guy" contractors and landscapers determine how much they charge based on how much they think the property owner is worth. If they think you are wealthy they will try to charge you 2 or 3x as much as some regular guy.
Where is the outrage there for something that has gone on for decades?
I think Amazon does this. The prices for things I frequently buy fluctuate wildly… more than 100% at times. I think they Jack up the price of coffee when AI figures that I must be desperately low on my supply today that I would be willing to pay $29 for the same coffee that was $11 the last time I purchased, but… I just buy it at Walmart in that case.
Or they just raise the price during peak demand.
