    Great video, I’m now confident to try this! Are the sills the best place to put jack stands on the 307?

    I would have liked to see the new and old coil springs side by side. I suspect springs loose springiness and become shorter over time.

    Good job and good video. I have a question for you ... is there a way to check the shockabsorbers and springs? And when to change them?

    • @isitfixedyet891
      @isitfixedyet891  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Rocco,
      You change shocks with any signs of rust or oil leaks. You can also check the suspension *shocks+springs) by trying to bounce the car with your hands and see how fast is stabilizes. It should not take more than 1 bounce for good suspension. At least this is what I do :)
      Cheers

    7:43 ... don't you think if these to be mounted springs are still missing the lower caps ( catalog number: 5164.36) ?

    • @annamanna2295

      however, I can see that the lower caps (5164.36) are still mounted in the rear arm 8:01 ... , my mistake, sorry

    My springs is hiting the bottom, its like the springs is larger than the suportting base. Maybe because the last owner bought wrong springs?

    • @isitfixedyet891
      @isitfixedyet891  Před 5 lety

      Hi WeslleySR,
      It is also possible that the end of the spring has broken off and your spring is too short as a result of spring damage. Is this same for both springs or just one of them?
      Cheers

    Are old springs or shocks the cause of a squiky rear suspension? When somebody enters the rear passenger seats the rear suspension squiks on my 307 sw

    Hi vell job. I think i instal spring from skoda octavia combi for back becouse spring have 361mm and from peugeot is 309mm i want do this becouse front on my car is higher from the back. What you thing? I read about it in forum Peugeot Poland

    • @isitfixedyet891
      @isitfixedyet891  Před 5 lety

      Hi Lukasz,
      I heard about that but have not tried it myself. I have transported a LOT of really heavy things with this car and its standard springs on the back and they did a great job. I would keep the original length of the springs calculated to work best for this car by Peugeot. Of course you are the boss of your car so if you decide to use the springs from Octavia just let me know the result. Maybe some picture of FB? :)
      Cheers

    How i know what is top and bottom from the springs ?

    • @isitfixedyet891
      @isitfixedyet891  Před 5 lety

      Hi dsstrike210,
      I believe that this up/down orientation is important for progressive springs. My springs were the same at both ends.
      Cheers

      At least you can guess it from printing visible on new springs. Sometimes is a arrow up. Both springs should be installed with printing not readable upside down...

    so what you feel after change the coil spring ?

    • @isitfixedyet891
      @isitfixedyet891  Před 5 lety

      Hi Muhhamad,
      It feels that the car stabilises faster after driving through a bump on a road. I have changed both shocks and springs though, so it is hard for me to say what difference does only springs bring :)
      Cheers
