35018 British India Line with The Cumbrian Mountain Express - 26/08/2023

35018 British India Line with The Cumbrian Mountain Express from Carnforth to Carlisle over the West Coast Mainline and returning over the Settle & Carlisle Railway to Preston via Hellifield and Blackburn on Saturday 26th August 2023. The tour started at Crewe and finished at Sandbach (due to strike action by RMT) with 47804 and 477746. Steam came on at Carnforth and came off at Preston.
The train is seen from Greenholme on the climb to Shap on the West Coast Mainline on then at Kirkby Stephen on the S&C.

Nice coverage Chris both Greenholme and Kirkby Stephen. Never done Kirkby Stephen myself only passed through on the train, food for though for a future shot.Thanks for sharing Brian

Good to see her going well Steve despite the load. Chap next to me at KS said it was a disgraceful performance there for a class 8 and didn't seem impressed when I suggested she was just doing what was necessary to keep to the timetable. Take care - Chris
