- Fr. Carlos Martins, director of Treasures of the Church, talks about the arm of St. Jude Thaddeus relic that is touring the United States or the next several months. The relic was on display for public veneration September 27 at St. Michael Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In an interview with Dennis Kellogg, director of communications for the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln, Fr. Martins shares how the relic was obtained, what it means to venerate relics, stories of miraculous healings and conversions that have accompanied this relic of St. Jude, "The Apostle of the Impossible," and how traveling with the relic has impacted his own life.

A miracle for Fr. Carlos is to travel from coast-to-coast, non-stop & work, talk, organize, pray intently day-in, day-out without getting burnt out. Fr. Carlos is now like an apostle to the Apostle whose feet and hands and mouth are now his as well so that we may be converted in true reparation and love for our Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear St Jude, please help our son Samuel who has been struggling with his OCD mental health conditions for many years. He has lost hope and finds no meaning in his life, and always has thoughts of ending his own life. Loving God, through the intercession of St Jude, I beg you to hear my humble prayer asking for a miraculous healing of our son’s mental health condition and also to bring him back to his Catholic faith that he had given up. Praise and Glory to God for ever and ever. Thank you St Jude for praying for us. Amen 🙏

Now I know who this priest is ! I loved his mass at St. Bede’s on 6/19 💕 I venerated Saint Jude’s relic the 3 days he visited our county , I’d never have this opportunity again . I have faith St. Jude will answer my prayers for my family especially for my son’s conversion 🙏🏼

For people having an issue with asking saints to pray for us:. Look at it this way. In a parent - child relationship. You go to your father, as a child, and ask for something. Your father thinks about it but no answer yet. You tell your friend, who is a very good person that your father likes very much, to please ask your father for your request also. Your friend goes to your father on your behalf and puts in the same petition. Your father decides to grant your request...you now have great appreciation of your father and now your friendship with your friend is even closer. This is how asking the saints to pray for you works. Except it's a bond between family and friends between heaven and earth, so it's even better than earthly relationships.
This is a good analogy, but the unbelievers' issues go deeper. It has nothing to do with reason.

I love his closeness with the saints. The intercession of the saints and holy priests is remarkable. My stomach was totally healed this past November by the Lord through the intercession of a priest. I’m incredibly grateful first for the mercy of God second for the immense blessing of a Holy priest and third of course to be well!

I revered the relic of St Jude when it was in Brooklyn NY. A few months ago my niece gave birth to a little boy and she and her husband gave him the middle name of Thaddeus though no one in either family has that name and I never told her I revered that relic.
St. Jude is the Patron Saint of the difficult and desperate cases and St. Rita is the Patron Saint of the Impossible.

We went in November in Bethlehem, PA. This was my first time asking St.Jude for his intercession, for employment for a family member who was out of work for months. A friend was there praying for employment after being unemployed for over a year. Both men had job offers within days. Both are working and very happy. Thank you Apostle St. Jude. I always loved how after praying to St. Jude for a better acting career in which it did, Danny Thomas gave back to the saint by building the children’s cancer research hospital in Memphis, TN and name it after the saint! It’s a great and inspiring story! Of course Thomas was a Lebanese-American Christian explains why he prayed to St. Jude with the saint’s martyrdom in the Beirut area!

From what I learned, Mary the mother of Jesus is an only child. Mary Clopas, the mother of St. Jude is therefore not a blood sister of Mary. Mary Clopas is the wife of Clopas, who is the brother of St. Joseph, earthly father of Jesus. That's why she's called Mary of Clopas or Mary Clopas. And so, St. Jude (and his brother St. James) is first cousin of Jesus.

I was told that Clopas was the brother of St. Joseph, therefore his wife, Mary of Clopas, was the BVM’s sister-in-law. Mary and Clopas were St. Jude’s parents so St. Jude was Jesus’s first cousin. Personally I think this is more likely, especially since we are told references to Jesus “brothers” really refer to His relatives. Jesus was an only child.
That would make more sense. To claim the Blessed Virgin Mary had a sister goes against traditionally accepted belief.

The pandemic was pure evil. I prayed because people were so misled and actually believed the nonsense that was being passed around especially by our Health and Government agencies. I think that people are more closer to God and Jesus along with all the saints rather than listen to so called experts. Jesus is the true King and the saints. Why would parents name both of their daughters "Mary"?
Its a wonderful tour, but why does St. Jude need to be officially presented as a first cousin to Jesus, son of Mary of Clopas... who was a sister to the Blessed Virgin Mary? As others have said, traditionally we generally have understood that Mary was the long awaited only child of Saints Anne and Joachim. So supposedly they had two daughters, both named Mary? That doesn't quite ring true, for obvious reasons alone. Was that customary in those days, to name one's children with the same name? I'm just baffled, why this familial connection even needs to be made.
