    Dude, thank you. I wasn’t sure whether to buy wood, plastic or metal but your video explained everything. I’m going with plastic.
    With Covid going on and wanting quality on a budget, I’m going to build this myself. I’d prefer the project not take forever and all the parts come in the same box.

    Thank you so much for comparing the three styles of sheds! 👍
    I've been debating on getting the plastic one I wasn't sure if it was worth it or not. Sounds like it's the best choice. Especially, since I won't have much help putting it together.
    Good video 👍

      @@gabakbusiness Your link doesn't seem to work. What brand of shed is the plastic. It looks like a suncast but I'm not sure. I've heard the rubbermaid brand ones are terrible and dont last more than a year or two.

      Be careful with wood... it's cheap wood( particle board) that shreds and gets wet and moldy at the bottom after a few years.

    Doesnt the sun damage the plastic and make it brittle after a while?

    • @gabakbusiness
      @gabakbusiness  Před 2 lety

      usually they last for very long time, but if you want extra protection just paint it with a clean UV coating every 5 years, and that should take of it.

    Nice video, I really like plastic shed but there are two concerns: wind resistance, and the shed is also in our backyard surrounded by some big oak trees. Do you think plastic shed can withstand the falling acorns/small leaves and branches? Is there a way to make the shed more resistant? Like adding shingles?

    • @gabakbusiness
      @gabakbusiness  Před 3 lety +2

      go and see it for yourself, that plastic is very tough. I would install anything next to trees
      they are no met to hold branches, even if you have a big branch falling on a house it will crush the roof

    • @K03sport
      @K03sport Před 2 lety

      The plastic suncast sheds have a very durable roof. Leaves, nuts, and small branches ( < 1.5" dia) should easily be handled by the roof. Wind damage depends on the wind speed/direction. Anchor the shed to the ground and look at reinforcing the door hinges and the plastic shed should (should) be able to withstand winds nearing triple digits. If you are curious, reach out to each manufacturer (visit their website) and see if they cam provide the details you are looking for. 🌀

    Does the plastic shed have a floor?

  • @DeltaAssualt
    @DeltaAssualt Před 3 lety

    I know the plastic is the best especially if you add extra support like filling it with expanding foam if its's hollow or ply wood for shelfing, plus if plan on moving you could disassemble it and take it with you, maintenance is also easy just wash the shed down so plastic stays clean cause dirt and other grime can cause plastic to degrade over time you could also paint it with a protectant/paint when it starts looking dull. Plastic shed is a win when it comes to combining portability, strength and ease of assembly.

  • @CCisRight
    @CCisRight Před 3 lety +2

    I've seen the wood ones 3 years later and it gets moldy at the base and the wood also shreds in time.
    The plastic sheds get brittle from sun and cracks. Metal may be more flimsy but can be strengthened easily and lasts many more years than your preferred choices.
