    I had a cover installed by "professionals" at my last place and they messed it up pretty good. So when we moved to our new place, I thought, I can probably do this with a little help from google, youtube and all the great people who post videos. Although my centering is slightly off, the project went smooth once I found the right tools. I had to go through pavers instead of concrete so needed a coring drill vs a hammer drill. All in all it worked out very well and I want to thank you for the explanations and the time you took to show each step.

    Good informative video. I am thinking of replacing my Myco mesh cover installed in 1993 and I would have made a few regrettable mistakes had I not watched your video. The Centering is very valuable. Thank you much. Tom Catucci

      Unless you redid the masonry around the pool, they will remake the cover with your current spring pattern. They may add or take away a strap or two

    I'm in Canada where we get snow, lots of it, what happens with this cover?

    • @jimignatowsky
      @jimignatowsky Před 2 lety

      I live in the Okanagan in BC with lots of snow. The snow accumulates over the winter and then melts through the cover in spring. No issues at all with the cover over any of the last few winters.

    Question should the anchors sit upper so that the hooks ride or lower because i notice a gap between edge of cover and concrete area surrounding the pool.

    • @mikefitzpatrick43
      @mikefitzpatrick43 Před rokem

      You don't want them that high when you close your pool you dont want to raise the anchors to were you can see the thread's on them because they could pull rite off with alot of snow

    I have an above ground 12X24 pool with a deck around it . The deck is 24 inches wide on all sides.
    Can a safety cover be installed in this situation?

    • @Inmate533
      @Inmate533 Před 3 lety

      I wouldn't do it. A typical safety cover requires 36 inches of decking all the way around. I just installed my cover and I think the average anchor was installed about 32" away from the edge of the pool. With a cover that costs anywhere from $600 - $1000 depending on the quality of cover you buy, I wouldn't even try it.
      If you buy a cover that's smaller than recommended just to try to shrink the overlap onto the decking, you run the risk of tearing the cover, and/or collapsing your pool when that snow comes. However, if you're in an area that doesn't get much snow, I might be tempted to order a smaller cover for your situation.

      Because they don’t live in a communist area that requires you to do thing on “your property”
      ” their way” is my guess .
      I remember when we were kids we had something like a fence around a pool. It was called “common sense”. If you had it you didn’t fall in if you didn’t you did. I think Darwin sold them
