  • Chen Style TaiChi 74 Forms also call “Laojia Yilu” means old frame and describes the earliest known forms of Chen style TaiChi. YiLu means first path, meaning the first form learned in the system.
Chen's Taichi Old Frame Routines were created by Chen Changxing-fourteenth generation descendant of the Chen family about 400 years ago.
The LaoJia YiLu is one of the oldest known TaiChi forms and is believed to be the form that all the entry level sets of all the major styles have been developed from.
It is recommended that we start off with stretching exercise for 15-20 min before the TaiChi or QiGong Form practice or you can do it individual in the morning right after we wake up.

A beautiful demonstration of form. Since the pandemic I haven't been able to be with my teacher. I have learned so much from the video over again watching for all of the subtle technique. It has greatly improved my form and given me more confidence. There is always more to learn and I feel like I'm learning the right things. You do a beautiful job of doing it for your students and not for a show at an arena. I've enjoyed your other forms too. You a very good teacher and appreciate the fine videos.
