- My good friend Luigi Cani and I did the first wingsuit flights next to the Christ Statue in Brazil over a decade ago. In this vlog I show all the footage and talk a little about the experience. I also show never before seen footage from my second project at the Christ Statue from last year when I did a 6 way formation flight (with camera man) next to the statue for the World Wingsuit League :) Pilots in formation were James Boole, Graham Dickinson, Carlos Pedro Briceno, Luigi Cani, Jeb Corliss and Gabriel Lott.

I wonder what those people were thinking when they saw Jeb and his friends flying over their heads at like 200 mph.
That's great Jeb that you always look to get approval, but not everybody has the wherewithal like you to throw money around while they're getting that approval... You've been very fortunate to get the sponsors and the people you have behind you, most people don't realize what's involved in that... In the late 60s early 70s when I was flying hang gliders or kites as they were called... I flew in places and did things that weren't exactly legal in order to accomplish what I was trying to do, called Earning a living. LOL The Good Ole Days... Now at almost 80 years old I just fly my paraglider where I'm NOT supposed to... You'd be surprised what you can get away with at my age... Keep posting...
At 400 it reminded me of an air show with f-16's passing by. That was so cool Jeb. Jeb, I don't understand why your videos don't have a lot more views. You're the most popular base jumper and wing suiter in the world as far as I know. Just seems kind of crazy. I know you have a lot more connections than I do, but like I have an MCN, or agent that represents my channel on youtube. They promote my videos and get me a lot more views and a lot more money than I made before I signed with them. My checks more than tripled and I have millions of views. There are a lot of agents out there. Some are not the greatest. So I did a lot of research before signing with who I have now, But it does make a difference. They told me I could try it out for 6 months and then if I didn't like it I could end the contract then or keep them. but I knew after a couple months that I was definitely keeping them. I was making more on youtube than I was teaching. It was crazy. But I think you deserve a lot more subs and views, which also means money. But if you're interested I can give you the name of my agency and the lady who I work with. they are great. Anyway, thanks for all the years of great videos. I've been watching you since the Eiffel Tower jump. Loved that. Thanks, George.

The statue is a man who spreading his arms is telling the world " i caught a fish this big" i think he was a fisherman or something like that. Either way, Cool jump man

Amazing video, esp. the second one! What would you say is the slowest descent rate you can achieve with your typical wingsuit? and what would be your typical vertical-to-horizontal distance ratio if such a thing is available? For example, do you typically drop 1,000 ft for every 500 ft of horizontal?

I am in the uk and 42 could I do BASE jump. & do I really need to do all the skydives 1st . I no u need to do a few but . I bet wear u can in , not uk , u can bye the stuff and off u go .
Ja :B start skydiving, get to know everyone, feel them out don't start asking about base jumping, a lot of skydivers are against it. But you may find a few jumpers at your local DZ that do, make friends with them and get them to mentor you. They will know the best places to go and help you get on your way. Do not go out and buy a rig and make a jump. 1 off heading openining and it could be your last. Don't let the sport get you before you get to enjoy it. And remember, it is not if you have an accident, it's when, so be prepared, it will happen.

Walkabout BASE If something is popular or not is completely irrelevant. You should never base your likes or dislikes on what other people think of it. Rather other like it or not doesn't matter. All that matters is do you like it :)
Cause if you were not to like it then there is not point in you posting it to the internet because you might get the same result as what you thought. Also hen are you going to do your next Jump like this video and others like it? So cool to see all the Documentaries that have been surrounded only on you and how you work with your "addiction" or "daredevil" instinct to jump off thing that no body has ever thought of doing. Is there going to be an "update documentary or any kind that is coming out? Also thanks for sharing things that normal people would never share in public and to also show them. Hope that you are still having fun doing Jumps. :)
