There are 5 teams with a win% over .640. Phi-690, Atl-658, LA-651, Bal-650, NY-643. Let's assume that w% is not the end of the conversation. To add Milw-585,who is 8th, you have to remove one of these teams. I'm not sure you can successfully make that argument in court. I think that you can mess with the order, but as of now, those are your top 5.
Yeah and by adding the Brewers the 2nd best team by winning % (Braves) isn’t even on one of the top 5 lists and is 4th on 2 of the lists. AJ is the only one with enough common sense to put them second. I think third is as far down as you can put them because the Phillies have the better record (but have played a much weaker schedule) and the Dodgers swept them. So I’d be ok with the Braves at 3 but any lower is just wrong.

Phillies have only played one 3 game series against a team with a winning record in 43 games so far and went 1-2... and it was the Braves. Let's see how Phillies do when they play better competition before giving all the respect.

To explain it a little more charitably than those above me, if you want an accurate list of the best teams look at legacy media or baseball reference or something. The whole point of a power rankings list is subjectively ranking teams based on more context than just numbers like trends & players coming up & down or getting injured/recovering, organizational track record, etc. and how the ranker interprets all that. Different perspectives prompting interesting discussion about the game I love is the whole reason I’m here
