Barge hits Texas bridge and causes oil spill

  • A barge has hit a bridge in Galveston, Texas, causing an oil spill.
    One of the two workers on board at the time fell into the water but was immediately rescued.
    The accident reportedly happened after a tugboat operator pushing two barges lost control of them.
    The Coast Guard is assessing the extent of the spill and an investigation is underway to find out what caused the accident.

      I think it's more likely gross incompetence on the part of the captain and crew, in turn caused by negligence on the owner's part in hiring that captain and crew. Which is scarier in my opinion. If it was intentional, at least someone has a plan. Knowing oil tankers are still being controlled by morons is worse because it will happen again.
