- It’s CHRISTMAS and Michael and Ian restore the chateau's original 19th century wood-fired stove in the kitchen, ready to cook on it for our Christmas Eve festivities! Lalande is in a flurry of preparation and celebration - we bring in lots of trees from the forest, Stephanie makes Christmas stockings, and everyone parties for days!

Well, I for one love these early vlogs. I love seeing the strides Stephanie and the Lalanders made in the last 5 years, but also the simplicity of the Lalande life then, as now. In some ways, very little has changed: Stephanie is still divinely hospitable; Michael and Michael are charming as always; the Chateau takes it all in stride. Thank you for keeping these around!

Wow - I have scrolled back to watch some of the first vlogs. 4 years from now, Michael is finally back at the Chateau and you have just found this game while cleaning out the cupboard and he’s finally taken it home.

I have thought of creating a Christmas Tree delivery & Haul away service. Trees chosen my quick view video clips of each tree. It would save the paint jobs on many family cars.

We couldn't find 42 as we are trying to watch them all in order, so we moved on to this one, and what a lovely surprise. You make Christmas at the chateau such fun. Really enjoyed watching this. We both agree that we enjoy watching the Chateau Diaries more than Chateau DIY - and thats saying something!

Ohh, so many trees killed to celebrate the birth.... Please do not cut trees. Please plant them on the grounds of the chateau and that way you will have permanent christmas trees everywhere.
