fun fact: during the armored phase, Xemnas actually tries to turn Sora and Riku against each other by asking Sora if he's sure he can trust Riku, and Riku if he isn't jealous of Sora. The king of gaslighting untill the very end. Still my favourite Kingdom Hearts villain, even to this day.
Kairi's letter is the message that shows up in the title screen cinematic from KH 1 and 2😊 Next up in KH is 358/2 Days. If you're wondering how that's pronounced, it's "Three Five Eight Days Over Two". When you have time you may want to look up the secret ending cinematic for KH2, it's a great cutscene that gives a small hint of what's to come.
I always loved the final battle with Xemnas. Not only does he have an incredible voice actor, but I love how the game humanizes the Nobodies. Yes, they are accidents, but that only makes them more tragic and sympathetic. I can't say I would feel different if I was told I "shouldn't exist".
Congratulations on beating Kingdom Hearts 2! It has one of the most perfect endings of any game ever made. If the series had not continued further, it just wrapped up everything so well and happily. I'm so glad to see you're in this journey for the long haul, and I'm so excited to continue to watch it! Onwards to KH 358/2 Days 🎉
The skyscraper duel has three Reaction Commands, changing based on how long you wait to press it (waiting too long has a failure animation). You can see this game's fallen Organization weapons forming the armored figure's throne during the first round against him. That bit about thanking Namine was not in the original game - it was added by the Final Mix version. Like the first game, the final battle features a callback to the Station of Awakening (The Reaction Command when Xemnas throws Sora is Twilight Thorn's attack). The final battle is why we explained how Summons work- Xemnas' Desperation Attack also expects you to press both X and ∆.
I found your channel a few weeks ago while looking for a Kingdom Hearts playthrough. Since then, I find myself waiting around the time you typically upload so I can see your reactions to these beautiful games. I love your playstyle and wonder at how quickly you learn fights (the Roxas fight in particular I died a LOT before I beat him!). Thank you for sharing your playthrough with us!

Wooooo! Watching you play through this again reminded me why I love KH2 so much, and that I should replay it again soon 😂 This is definitely my favorite of the main trilogy! Glad you enjoyed the adventure, and happy you invited us along with you on the journey. Super happy you loved it so much and got to see why it means so much to many fans. I never really played the side games between 2 and 3, just watched cutscene videos like you did for Chain of Memories. I do know how long 3 was developed for, and some of the reported issues going on behind the scenes, but I’ll wait until you complete that one before bringing any of that up. That way you can take it in as we did when it first dropped. Take your time continuing the journey. Don’t want you to feel burned out by trying to complete the series within a certain time frame. There’s one creator I follow that that just happened to (they were trying to complete every Final Fantasy game before FFVII Rebirth dropped, in numerical order. Loved a majority of the older titles, but by the time they hit X they just couldn’t bring themselves to complete it for various reasons, though they’d been struggling for a while and had even taken a long break to try and recharge between IX and X.) I know to me and many fans who love these games and want others to love them too, there’s nothing wrong with playing something else that you will hopefully love and enjoy, and returning to a series later so it still feels fresh and new. If I may recommend another new game for you to check out in 2024, for you to play sometime in the future, that can definitely change things up for you, Persona 3: Reload will be dropping next year. Its gameplay is turn-based, with a more traditional JRPG gameplay style, though adding some features compared to its original release. The story of Persona 3, originally, was very deep and somewhat dark. With the new release it’ll probably feel much more accessible to someone newer to that series like yourself, though I obviously won’t know until I play it myself. For the story alone, I highly recommend you give it a try sometime.

Oathkeeper is the keyblade that represents Sora's connection to Kairi. Oblivion represents his connection to Riku. Very appropriate to finish the game with Oblivion
I DEFINITELY did not know the first part of the Xemnas fight could be i-framed with a limit and just skip the building slicing phase by running to the next hallway. First time to witness this in a KH2 playthrough for sure. Though you did it unintentionally its for sure a rare moment to see, since KH2's release i have never seen anyone pull that off, really cool.
Well done Jade! You and Riku have defeated Xemnas and have finally found their way home to Destiny Islands and finished KH2. Though it seems they might be taking off again soon because of that letter from King Mickey telling them about something else going down. Ya know if you recall from KH1 Xemnas was that same secret boss you fought before. Also there was one more song you forgot to do in Atlantica. Anyway the next game is KH Birth By Sleep!
"OK, I turned the controller sideways!" Thatagirl! That's the most optimum way to deal with Xemnas's Laser Dome of Doom. And unsure if it clicked in your head, but in case you didn't notice, Xemnas's first fight solidified that he was the Unknown you fought in Hollow Bastion back in KHFM. Get used to it; the series is ALWAYS gonna pull these tricks going into the next games. That's what I love about this series. It keeps you guessing on 'Who the hell did I just fight?'.
And just like that, Xemnas is defeated! GG! You looking to hit the additional end-game content/secret ending, Jade? KH2 in particular has _a lot_ of Secret Bosses, so I understand if not. However, much like Xemnas in the first game, there is _one_ Secret Boss in particular that is story related

KHII is my favorite KH game (though KHIII is in the running as a close second) and i've loved watching you play it! Any plans to play 358/2 Days or watch the cutscene movie? If you like Roxas and Axel, you'll really enjoy that one because the game is basically all about them and Organization XIII.
There are 2 secret bosses and an ending. One is in radiant Garden where you fought the 1000 heartless and the other is in mickey's castle. You can choose to watch both of them if you want but i definitely reccomend you at least see them. Congratulations on beating KH2 I enjoyed every minute of it!
So glad i got to witness your full playthrough with KH2. Its been wonderful seeing the appreciation we all do for this game. I hope you realized during Xemnas fights, you saw its fighting style to be the exact same from the Secret superboss, which confirmed that was the person you fought in KH1. Cant wait for you to start 358/2 cutscenes! But before you do that, i highly suggest you watch the secret movie in KH2, then completing the endgame content for KH2 before moving on! Just like with KH1, youll definitely need to beat the secret superboss of the game before at most starting Birth by Sleep. Getting the superboss to appear does require you to complete the mystery inside that secret place in Radiant Garden, the place where you got destroyed earlier on, remember that? Wont spoil it for you but get grinding and complete that area, as the secret super boss is much stronger than KH1 so be prepared!😈
Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention, the secret area at the end does require you to beat all the Silent Silhouettes you found throughout the world's, for example, there's one in Beasts room and one in the underworld before you went to Hades Chamber. Hunt them down and the mystery within Radiant Garden can begin to be completed

You may have beaten the story, but your KH2 journey isn’t over quite yet. There are still some secrets worth going after, if you’re willing. There are these obtainable items called “Proofs”, which signify the completion of specific objectives. There are 3 of them in total. They aren’t the easiest to get, but I think you should at least try to get them. Good luck!

25:39 That’s very unfortunate. I never seen anyone missed that wall quick time event. :p Dang I can’t believe KH2 is pretty much over. Arguably the best in the series, and where it should have ended the story in my opinion. Such a satisfying ending too. But I’m glad the franchise went on to expand the lore, and become as successful as it is today. It’s a uniquely weird formula that worked. A very unique history for sure. I don’t know how many fans are you telling you where to go next, but one thing for sure is that you are not stopping anytime soon unless a major release is on the way that you’re interested to play next. If you immediately continue the KH series from here, definitely checkout 358/Days next. Then Birth By Sleep. There’s going to be a bit of a pattern. Play a title, watch cinematic, play the next title. Lol The series after this game takes a more famous convoluted direction. But this isn’t to say you won’t enjoy anything or understand going forward. You seem to be committed to the franchise by now, so it seems like you’re along for the ride no matter where it goes.

Ah the game that empathises the meme “Kairi: So this is my boyfriend Sora and that’s Sora’s boyfriend Riku” Also unlike other franchises where spin off non numbered games can be missed EVERY game in the Kingdom Hearts franchise has to be played or watched. Even skipping the now shut down mobile games story means you won’t understand certain characters in Kingdom Hearts 3 as well as many of the MANY plot threads, twists and turns that make up the franchises rich lore

You should play birth by sleep, it is a prequel game to the first game.
Don't forget about the post game content. Some of the best of the series. Just a bit of lingering will and hope of mine that you give it a shot.
