- First thing's first, you need to realize that a Monster Jam truck is pretty much the size of a small house. Have you ever hooned a house? Has anyone? It takes considerable skill to throw one of these things around, let alone in a space like our burnyard. But Ryan Anderson's an absolute savage, and some burnouts and donuts aren't enough for him to be satisfied. So we popped a k-rail over into the yard, and things got rowdy. Real rowdy.

as long as we all want to see that. the fact that it never happened before is the reason it wont happen in the future. too risky for the driver in regular to get crushed over and die on the spot and in this case Ken Block. Or else Ken would've done something crazy by now through his contacts and everything.

Honestly grew up watching his dad but I think Ryan is the new GOAT. The amount of skill and control it takes to basically do supermoto tricks in a 12,000 pound truck is just unbelievable

the heavier an object is the more time it takes to build momentum, so after initially balancing, in theory it becomes easier to maintain than say a bicycle wheelie or unicycle

A friend of mine recently passed away used to spend his summers tooling around his uncles land in the three deuce and a half trucks who later donated their front axles to Bob Chandlers Bigfoot and Dan DeGrassos the Beast monster trucks. He was a bit disappointed to lose his summer toys until he saw what they were put on. Sadly for Dan my friend had “accidentally” already done a big jump with one of the deuces and weakened the axle that went on the Beast and it snapped at the country fair back in 89 or some time around there. I saw it myself as a kid. Yeah wild roots this monster truck stuff comes from...

I think he means that, as far as tire shredding hoonage is concerned, that was a better display than like 50% of who's been there. Think about who's been there, and in what vehicles. Drift cars, trophy trucks, hot rods, stuff that has WAY more room to get wild in that space than does a humongous monster truck, and he still out-hooned a majority of them. I agree with his statement, though I might've said higher than 50%. As far as the acrobatic crazy wheelies, stoppies, reverse wheelies, that crazy sidewall donut thing, I don't think there's any question that nothing out-crazies monster trucks, haha!

I remember when ryan first started driving. Definetely a huge improvement from what I remember.
Ryan literally won basically everything this first year in 2010 and specially when he started driving SUD in 2011. Ryan in 2012 and 2013 would go on a 7 freestyle win streak... That early in his career. The kid was ALWAYS good. His debut of SUDz if in competition and not encore would of won the title. I seen him at his second stadium event in SUD IN 2011 and he had one of the best freestyles of the night. So to imply that Ryan had a rocky start is far fetched lol

It is really cool to see that the skill of monster truck drivers has continued to evolved.
I loved Grave Digger as a kid. Didn't think alot about monster trucks in my teens,and 20's. Then at age 33 I see a thick, blonde beauty, the likes of which I had never seen, was driving Grave Digger. I began researching the modern day monster trucks and ended up buying some tubing, a welder, and with the help of CZcams I welded up a 6 ft tall mini Monster truck. Looks like the Grave Digger. Has a 650cc motorcycle engine in it and it it sick!!! Now I am sourcing the parts for a REAL MONSTER TRUCK. I have been in contact back and forth with Monster Jam. I am so passionate about this sport it's unreal. I weld, wrench, airbrush, do automotive paint, electrical systems, and I have mad balance and enjoy doing donuts/ flipping vehicles/ etc. I was a rapper/beat maker from the city, and after my interest in Monster Trucks was re-sparked after seeing Krysten Anderson, and her fam, strait killin' it in these things I just bought a country house with a metal building, this week, with the sole purpose of building a Monster Jam-ready Monster Truck. It took me 3 years to build the small one, but most of that time was research and finding which parts would work together. The big Trucks, I know exactly which parts I need. I've emailed SCS, Patrick Engineering, Pablo, Etc. I am not rich but I work on houses for a living and hustle where ever possible and fix just about anything, I WILL BE A DRIVER within the next few years. See you then. Awesome video Hoonigan.
