  • Using a vr treadmill on World of Warcraft is it a workout? u decide to play you need a Wow subscription and Console port addon through a client like Curse Forge. Then you will need to use any Steam vr compatible headset along with this program GameVroom on steam store.steampow... this will alow you to use Vr controllers and if you want to walk like me then you can use a KatVr treadmill link www.kat-vr.com...

    Looks like it's definitely a workout, hope you enjoy playing that way as it's a cool way to workout and play.

    That looks awesome and I want to try it. I wonder if you could get longer sessions and impact protection if you had resistance bands to the ceiling. Similar to using resistance bands to assist with chin ups, just to be a little lighter.

      @Jer4mey  Před měsícem

      It’s possible maybe but there are some free aim vr shoes coming out in the future that I believe will be able to allow for longer sessions

    Do you have a step by step guide how you got this to work? I just got the katvr but having trouble setting everything up

    • @Jer4mey
      @Jer4mey  Před 15 dny +2

      www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRovAfoG/ this might help but common problems are steam vr blocks add ons sometimes and you need to allow them in settings and whatever controller you are using you need to select what makes you move in game for instance thumbstick if it was a a vibe wand it would be track pad because they don’t have thumbsticks

    • @Jer4mey
      @Jer4mey  Před 15 dny +2

      Also are you trying to set it up for wow or for Vr games ?

    You using vorpx? Or is there a legit VR mod?

    • @Jer4mey
      @Jer4mey  Před měsícem

      No Its actually not Vr there is a Vr mod for private server wotlk 3.35 if your interested go to flat2vr on discord and click on wow channel I’m using steam vr and an app called gamevroom which allows flat games to be played with Vr controllers on a big screen

      @@imunfathomable that private server one I mentioned is full Vr and good but it’s a private server so don’t know if u want to go that route it’s actually pretty awesome

      @imunfathomable Před měsícem +1

      @Jer4mey wonder what's stopping it from being able to be used on official servers. Guess I'll just try firing up vorpx this weekend. Trouble with vorpx is I've almost never had a good VR experience with it.

    Noticing your UI is formatted for controller support. Has wow had that for long? haven't played in over 10+ years but was curious to ask.

    • @Jer4mey
      @Jer4mey  Před měsícem

      Not sure how long it’s been a thing with console port addon which I’m using but I think they have native support for controller and that has been fairly recent

    even with all this potential no one seems to care about VR

    • @Jer4mey
      @Jer4mey  Před měsícem +1

      Vr definitely doesn’t get a lot of attention and it may always stay niche but I still love it. For now this is what I’m focusing on. We will see what the future holds but thanks for the comment and watch.

    Very cool video
    Some thoughts:
    ergonomically horrible and you will fuck your body up massively over a longer period of time
    pretty sure gaming hours will be quartered because you can't stand the whole time (which is actually nice I guess? ^^)
    Questions:
    Longevity on the glide pads you are walking on?
    Other than that I would love to try playing wow like this.
    How much does this setup cost?

    • @Jer4mey
      @Jer4mey  Před měsícem +1

      So in the video I’m using a katvr c2 plus usually goes for 1500 usd but they have sales going on a lot and I have a code for some off. My Pc is roughly probably 1500 to 2000 that has had a graphics card upgraded into that cost and I’m using a valve index so another 1000 usd on that but really you can get off cheaper if you want or go more expensive with the things you can choose. Everything you need to play this is a compatible steam vr headset like any meta quest one a program called gamevroom on steam a world of Warcraft subscription and a katvr treadmill and they have a new one around 1000 usd. So far on my treadmill things have been good the shoes have a mouse sensor inside of them and I haven’t had any problems and the base is just a heavy plastic bowl. I do have to tighten bolts on supports up from time to time and will know more about durability as I play more.
