Even tonight specifically hunting in an expedition with a friend who was using sleep weapon, just the two of us, throughout ten monsters, 1/4th of the time he got sleeps, I already had a move in progress, which would wake the monster.
It's not entirely people ignoring, very frequently there's just something already in progress that wakes a monster right away. I was using Gunlance, this could be Hailcutter, Wyvernstake, Wyverns Fire, I also use Horn and my Magnificent Trio or Infernal Song may be the culprit, I also use SNS, my Perfect Rush may break it, my Shoryugeki, or any other of my falling attacks may break it.
This was just me and my friend, and I knew he was using sleep, now add two more hunters, and assume all three don't know the 4th hunter is using sleep. It's just not always easy to stop an attack, and sometimes you get lucky and the monster doesn't wake, but I've had the exact same attacks both wake up and not wake up monsters who are in progress of falling asleep while being bashed upon.

Does seem like a vast difference between those who are veterans, those coming from world and those just starting.
Not to say there should be shame on those who try, but it can be a bit of an “oh dear,” when you see someone try it. At least for my hunt with the apex, I tossed down a trap while going solo just to confirm an apex wouldn’t spring the traps. But online? It tends to happen more times than I like to admit. More so those same people getting shortly carted because they thought the trap would have saved them...
But elders? Everyone should know traps don’t work on those guys (but I see that happen a lot too sadly enough). That and people who try and trap a really pissed off Rajang. Kind of funny to see the reaction when it just punches itself out of a trap.

One thing you should have added imo is the multiplier on the first hit when a monster sleeps. For those not aware, the very first hit on a sleeping monster has a damage multiplier. So if no one has bombs, but it there's a great sword, a gunlance or a charge blade in the party, let them wake up the monster with one of their powerful single hits (charge, SAED, wyvern fire, you name it) for big damage. Don't just throw dual blades combo randomly on the monster, because only the very first hit has that sweet multiplier.

And LS users can land then do drawn double slash into a spirit combo to go up a level before mounting monster 2. I'm probably the only one who's upset with this, but I miss the times when strangers could manage to play together, and work around each other, resulting in an actually pleasant time. You really shouldn't be encouraging the use of brace. You should be encouraging people learning to play around their team mates. At the moment it's just resulting in a mindless stabbing at monsters, where your party just doesn't really have anything to do with it anymore. It's laziness like this that just encourages a degradation in engagement with fellow hunters, and that makes me sad. I miss games where engagement was at the forefront. Be it engagement in person, or engagement in the halls. Folk are probably gonna disagree with my assessment, and fair enough, but I'm really not looking forward to the future of MH if this is how we're encouraging playing with others.
You probably won't change the recommendation, but I'd really love if you started encouraging people to think of their party and engage with their party, instead of putting a band aid in the form of a brace jewel over a lack of communication or understanding. I get there are new players, and they might not know their position, or how to work with their party, but it's people like you who could help with that, by creating guides on it, instead of just going "Use brace because it stops you being tripped".
I can't remember a time where I was tripped noticeably in the older games, but since world released and brought it to the main stream (not necessarily bad overall, but it has definitely had some harmful effects on the game in a few areas (like community in halls)) I've been tripped constantly, even when going out of my way to stick to my position. Would really appreciate it if you started trying to address it properly, instead of teaching people its okay to trip party mates because they should have been running brace.

This is definitely a nice different perspectives I have not seen someone said yet. I can see it being a huge problem but not necessarily a deal breaker (for now). Though it's really hard to chat in the game and the hunt seems to go way too fast in the online that I found the temporary solution from flinch is the brace itself since you can't communicate fast enough with others (thanks to my chubby thumbs lol). But like you said, I think creators should start showing a way how to counter or an etiquette in a hunt about who is who should do their dmg or repositioning, etc. so that we don't get flinch in the team instead of saying to get brace. I only knew about these because I have actual friends who are a monhun veterans which not everyone has. New players wouldn't know this unless someone like their friend, a veteran or youtubers starts teaching them these.
I don't use braces myself because I already learned how to position myself but I do put them on when doing solo online because *sweats* I hope these hunters will learn to manage their weapons soon.

I absolutely love how every monster has some sort of wirefall trap. It feels good when you try to abuse the feature just to get checked by an intentional follow up attack.

Adding to the video advice. You should always have one wirebug available to do a wirefall when fighting some monsters. If magnamalo catches you it will throw you up in the air and, when you fall, you will received by the explosión of his purple gas clouds which will probably cart you. Don't let that happen. Wirefall away!
