- The final battle, first I slay Death Adder with my mighty axe, and then I take the battle to Death Bringer. Then I rip his balls off in a glorious battle to destroy evil.
Seriously though, final battles. Enjoy. Again, as always, this what more normal players go through, not TAS perfection stuff. Which is my objective as a youtube video maker, to make such vids.

In case you're wondering, the skeletons in the final boss fight can be defeated, but ironically they have 2x as much HP as Death Bringer.

The "wugga wugga wik wik CHUK" of Gilius's axe combo remains yet the most gratifying sounds in all gaming
Don't you love also when the baddies get you in a combo, all "brickle brackle, brickle brackle, brickle brackle, brickle brackle"... especially when you're Axe=Battler, who proceeds to cry out as if he were a little boy!

The skeletons in Golden Axe were a bastard. And it's funny how you can put wee funny things into these games, as people naturally do.

The worst part about this fight is not Death Bringer himself. It’s the skeletons. Can’t take a second to hit Death Bringer without the Skeletons getting on my ass.

I played it when I was young, and I did not remember that the last boss took so long, in my head it was something much faster

If Death Adder knocks you down left, he uses Gillius's magic, down right, he uses Ax's, and if he hits you with the heat-seaking ground bolt, he uses Tyris's magic?

Golden Axe is actually an 80s game. Development was started in 1988 and it was released in 1989.
It's possible to kill the last 2 skeletons, but you have to hit them much more than the final boss.
You're better off to just kill the Final Boss.

Death Adder Jr only appears in Beginner Mode.
Yeah I think this version is superior to the arcade. It has more bosses and stages.
the final battle is the only part of the game where i get killed more and more times... these skeletons have too much hp and avoid you by make a full combo on death adder.
Technically they don't even have HP. Or they're just like Balio & Sunder from Breath Of Fire III (though I don't know if such a feat of programming was possible at the time, since those guys are technically not "enemies" IIRC)...
It's possible to kill them, but it requires a lot of hits

I believe it's due to the limitations of the genesis/megadrive. It can only use a set amount of sounds at a time.
sad thing is that I feel blessed watching these scrubs... the one - two slice was an option for every character.

The disappointment when I see that you went in the settings to give yourself extra health... I mean, I made it to the final boss with 3 continues and 3 bars of health.
+Ahzafera I did not go to the settings to get Extra Health. I played default rules, and this was the default on my version of the game. I'm an average gamer, as far as a gimmick goes, so I don't ever play a game on the hardest rules.
+Ahzafera Also, I had a hell of a lot left, and was barely touched until I made the final level, if you had watched my full vids.
Eh, this game's pretty brutal. I 1CC'd it on default settings a couple times yesterday but honestly those skeletons can shred through your health at such an absurd pace that I don't blame anyone for setting the health to max.
Yeah, I can understand that. I can made it to Death Adder Jr, I believe. Where you save the king? And then I can make it up to the final boss, but I haven't been able to beat him with just the 3 bars of health.
My tip for fighting Death Bringer: Pin that fucker in the top corner, knock him down with a jumping slash, and then continuously use the jumping down-stab as he gets up. It makes quick work of him, the immortal skeletons guarding his room are the only issue.
