I am a Muslim French, media ask us 24/7 to condemn terrorism. All imams made it public and we are rarely invited to tv shows although they speak about us but when they do, they require an apology and to condemn those acts with aggressiveness “why don’t you condemn terrorism!! Why do you support terrorism by remaining silent”, we are tired of this public humiliation. Thank you for explaining this.

Terrorism itself is a vague word, Algeria had suffered from an oppressed democracy that found no just way out resulted into mutual terror of the govt and the few people who used the guns out of their frustration, many of which were nothing more than drug addicts and alcoholic.... so not every power conflict means it was a terrorism...
Well then you should know who committed terrorism first, Algeria for the first time in history had Muslims win elections in majority but the government , the military and some say france didn't like that, so a coup & martial law were forced and people who protested got killed and from oppression anger & hate came radical groups, who emerged & thought that they're defending the truth but yet committing heinous acts so terrorism is byproduct of how governments treat their own people.

A similar story about the bus happened to my social teacher when she was in school . While she was returning home from the school bus all most all of her bus students and driver where hindu and a few people came from a burning house and asked who are the muslims the hindus didnt tell . So they left .

Mainly America and israel are the main two countries that refuse to give “terrorism “ a definition. Lovely video. I would like to point out that not only does compassion comes from Muslims to Christians alone but vice versa as well. People seem to forget the stories of the Arab spring when Christians protected their Muslim peers during prayer from rouge forces and the same was done by Muslims.
If I would like to add one last thing, as a Muslim I would never hesitate to protect an innocent with my life for that is the most beautiful way to die. Some would accuse us of preaching suicidal tendencies. I would reply that we simply do not fear death but merely accept it. After all, We who belonged to God shall return to God once more (إنا لله و اليه راجعون )

I really appreciate all the efforts of the Emir-Stein Center in promoting religious peace around the world.
One thing that may concern me is the large role of the media in presenting news that is often tendentious towards Islam, while we as Muslims mostly do not behave like what is reported because we understand that in Islam there is no suggestion to do evil.
I think this is a big job on a global scale and it must involve a lot of money.
My question: is there any attempt to investigate this matter? Where are the sources of money received by the media which often presents bad news against Islam? Who are the reporters, writers and media leaders connected to?
To deal with forest fires, we have to extinguish the hotspots first.
I am a Muslim and I tell you that this is normal to us because in our religion protecting non muslims is a DUTY.

The media is the most important thing. In Qur'an, also mentioned that we must check the information whether correct or not before we pass to another person. It also mentioned that if we kill one of innocence person like we kill all humanity. So, you have take the consequences.
I cried because it feels hurt when I, as a muslim, saw the news about Terrorism and people are just bringing up Islam to it. Those are the actions of some fanatics who called themselves as "Islam" but they are not!
There are statements when somenone compared Islam with ISIS so you compare Christian with KKK.
But brother/sister, it will hurt their feelings and it's not going to bring and end to your debate. Just smile and pray for him/her.
I live in Indonesia and Islam is majority here. But not a single christian, buddhist, or anyone that are opressed or condemned about their religion. WE ARE IN PEACE! There are Mosques and Churches standing side by side in many places in Indonesia and we live in harmony!

A perspective from a soldier who has engaged against elements of terrorism.
Terrorism is the calculated use of violence to precipitate fear, with the end result being to achieve political goals when direct military victory isn't possible. In order to generate and maintain the publicity necessary to cause widespread fear, terrorist need dramatically violent attacks. The attacks may appear to be random, however, the locations and the victims are selected for shock value. Ideal places are selected for the presence of large crowds in which the population are both familiar with and feel at ease. Secondary targets may be important political or economic locations. The hope in which the terrorist is relying on, is that the sense of panic which these acts cause will convince the population to pressure the political leadership towards a specified or determined political end.
Usually, dialogue, with mutual respect, can result in a fair agreement... which should have been done by the parties involved, in the beginning.
Terrorism is a more expensive term than gold that is formed according to the desire of its maker.

We must not mix between “freedom fighters” and terrorists. Any one who has his country, home or property occupied illegally must do whatever it takes to defend himself , family and property. Aim justifies the mean in this case.
