That's exactly what my grandmother said several years ago, that some modern dresses looked like the slips to be worn only under the dresses of the past. Neither of us found that to be a fashion improvement.

I am living for these looks!!! I’m impressed that people took the time to do their research to make the outfits and hair and makeup accurately. I’ve seen plenty of videos where the costumers clearly didn’t do enough or any research on the fashion of the decade so this was a very refreshing surprise! ❣️❣️💓

You don’t need to justify a vintage fur piece. It will decompose. A synthetic “fur” won’t for hundreds of years.

As a child of the 50's and 60's (born in 1952), these looks were a part of my growing up. I remember the curly style of hair and makeup my mother wore. Since I was a child, even though I did wear saddle shoes, mostly I wore Mary Janes. The only looks you did miss were poodle skirts and baby dolls. The look I liked best was your glam look. You kind of looked like Madonna.

Sleeping in rollers used to be normal before curling irons & hand held blow driers. My mom got her hair done once a week at a salon for the longest time ( the 60s into the 70s )
You look so much like a young Madonna it's not funny :)

  • @darrellpetty3757

Your historian is wrong about the fur. It's Norwegian blue fox. The fox would have been Arctic white fox . The blue fox cape is More of a 70's peice. A blue fox that old would have oxidation. And would be almost brown by now.

Btw fur is a botanical substance not involved on the periodic table therefore it cannot have a reaction as the periodic table is a chart to show solids, liquids and gases that contain a chemical reaction. As fur is not on there it cannot have a chemical reaction to time and cannot simply "be brown by now" get your facts right mate!
