DS4 won't ever happen simply because the lore is finished, there is no way to continue it without ruining DS3. They are moving on to their other MANY IP's, Elden Ring 2 seems more likely if they ever decide to make one and there is a legitimate continue point IF they take Ranni's Age of Stars ending alongside all the outer gods that are still unknown
Ever since I read that interview all I've been thinking about is what's about to come in the next few years. What is Miyazaki's ideal fantasy game? Imagine a mix between bloodborne, Sekiro, dark souls (1), Everything they learned with ER, and all his favorite dark fantasy inspirations.... Hopefully we go back to more classic dark fantasy world too
@@inkpendude right. You said it perfectly. I’m guessing they’re working on some IP that will blow us all away with how good it is. Incorporating everything you said.
@@hardiksharma1123 for me it will always bloodborne at the top, then eldenring and sekiro for 2nd position. The feeling of bloodborne world AND WEAPON is unique an after around 20 run (dlc inculded) i woulld buy a bloodborne 2 even if i have to buy ps6 to play it (currently on pc)
@@moustachio05 Sekiro is a complete game, I don’t think it needs a sequel. All the endings are complete, real endings. Not cliffhangers. Bloodborne, however, has cliffhanger endings, thus there is room for a sequel.
@@Frostborne2778 What about Tomoe? She trained Genichiro, Isshin also admitted that he was so taken by her, and that led him the closest to death he'd ever come. She's a very interesting character that we still know so little about.
Does anyone remember during DS2 there was rumors about a game where “you became the boss” I don’t quite remember to much but ultimately it turned out to be Bloodborne. I think it was called project beast.. idk I’m still hoping that they fulfill that idea!
@@Mr.WarwickBot You CAN turn yourself into a beast or a cosmic being in bloodborne. Not exactly boss status but I do like that those rumors weren't completely made up. The beast/Kos weapons act as a pseudo-transformation which is something I wish Fromsoft had used in elden ring. Unique weapons >>> Mass generic weapons. Beast claws, my beloved.
an armored core 6.5 is definitely gonna happen. interviews have made it clear that AC is both a passion project for many of the creators AND 6 was a commercial success.
I loved it. But so much opportunity to further refine. I also found a build that once I had it, easily carried me through the game. Once I had that the game was pretty easy
Yeah that would be awesome. With good cgi and acting and budget they could make an absolute masterpiece of a movie delving into the shattering and all of the outer gods and Demi gods and all of the lord leading to the tarnished. 🔥🔥🔥
With the recent explosion in video game adaptations and the success of house of the dragon, i bet every streaming service is begging FS for the right to do it Not only that, but george martin HEAVILY hinted something is at least being thought of, by i highly doubt it would be live action, it would probably need to be a edgerunners style anime Considering hbo already has ties with martin and saw the success of TLOU, the investors are likely pushing HARD for it
The massive financial success of the open world Elden Ring and DLC, if FromSoft want to rake in more money, then a Bloodborne open world game would be my pick.
On the bright side, Konami is perfectly capable of producing a Souls-like Castlevania entirely of their own accord, which I suspect they will, and Castlevania games are already Souls-like in many ways (it's more accurate to say Souls games are Castlevania likes, but in 3D...and harder). Capcom is also entirely capable of doing it with Onimusha; however, with the show failing, the remaster failing, and Capcom owning it with Monster Hunter and Resident Evil, I highly doubt they will turn to Souls for Onimusha. They'd rather do something with Monster Hunter.
'a sci-fi themed game, which would be a fascinating new direction for the studio' Yeah maybe they could make a game about robot mechs and corpos battling on an alien planet!
I really hope another Elden Ring DLC is reconsidered. I'd love another chance to see more spells for INT-ARC Bleed build, Death Sorceries buffed by Prince of Death's Staff, and INT/Soul Samurai-friendly spells/skills
@@chrxs61632 I doubt we will see another elden ring GAME, but in another media, i am hopeful With the recent explosion in video game adaptations and the success of house of the dragon, i bet every streaming service is begging FS for the right to do something with this franchise Not only that, but george martin HEAVILY hinted something is at least being thought of I highly doubt it would be live action, it would probably need to be a edgerunners style anime Considering hbo already has ties with martin and saw the success of TLOU, the investors are likely pushing HARD for it And to top it all off, it fely weird that the DLC left so many main characters and plot points unanswered, almost like they were planning something new
Fromsoft often leave clues to their next game in their latest Marvelous Chester (bloodborne) pot noble (Elden Ring) The Missile shooting wandering mausoleum (AC6) so you need to look careful at AC6 or SotET to figure it out.
There was this interwiew where Miyazaki said he was planning to refine and develop upon Sekiro's mechanics for the next project. While I don't think there will be ( or there is need for) a Sekiro 2, its mechanics might be a part of it. My headcanon is that someone in the design team by now got told to play Lies of P along with Sekiro and start taking notes.
Sekiro could use a two...tho beloved by the community beyond the community most people avoid it because of the get gud system. The get gud system wasn't the problem it was the mechanics around the get gud system that was the problem. To many limitations compared to most action RPGs
It'll probably be something closer to Lies of P, with Sekiro gadgets they can make the bosses a LOT more in-depth and unique. The final DLC boss seems to be a prototype of this, albeit a crappy one since it forces you to play certain ways to avoid attacks.
Stellar Blade was great but unfortunately you have to beat it once to get hard mode. The standard game was too easy in my opinion. Worth checking out though. The combat system was robust.
Just don't expect too much from Stellar Blade, and you're in for a pleasant playthrough, it's far from perfect, and too easy for Souls players, but the gameplay still pretty solid, I platinumed it amd enjoyed every second of it.
does the combat ever get good in nier automata. the defensive mechanics are shit in the beginning so bosses are just a matter of how many heals i have. am i just bad ?
@@ripdito I didn't play on hardest difficulty. But the combat is mostly focused on parry mechanics and then doing nice long combo. There is quite a depth to combat because it has some hidden interactions on some of the mechanics.
Nah, Bloodborne is finished, it doesn't need anything added to it. A sequel or prequel could only serve to dilute how perfectly singular that game is. A spiritual successor further exploring the trick weapons, rally, gun parry, and quickstep dodge mechanics though? Hell yeah, inject it straight into my veins please
Yeah, I think an AC next year is a great bet. Every numbered AC title has had a non-numbered AC sequel release within two years so far. Kind of hoping for a non-numbered sequel over a numbered one so I can carry my ACs over to the new game, as I love save transfers and when they've done this in the past 😅
I really hope the new armored core game will be longer. This is probably a SUPER hot take but after my first playthrough of AC6, I got kinda burnt out and I haven't picked up the game since. I know the game gets better for NG+ and NG+2 but I just can't bring myself to play it.
Dark Souls 4 will never come. Miyazaki already told us that in the Ds3 Ashes of Ariandel DLC. Ashes of Ariandel is a very clear (and I think, very much intentional) metaphor to what Miyazaki thinks about the Dark Souls series as a whole. I will explain: The paintings in Dark Souls are works of arts, but they are also worlds that people can inhabit. This is pretty much what a videogame is. The paintings, then, represent videogames. The painting of Ariamis in Dark Souls one represents Dark Souls one. The painting of Ariandel in Ds3 represents Dark souls 3 (and more broadly, the whole Dark Souls series). It is described as a restoration of the painting of Ariamis, again fitting the metaphor perfectly as Ds3 can be seen as "a restoration" of Ds1 (you know, how they share a lot of thematic elements like Anor Londo). So, what is the story of the DLC Ashes of Ariandel exactly and what is Miyazaki trying to tell us there? Well, the story is about a painting that is rotting, that is to say, a videogame series that has become stale and uninteresting. The painter lady represents Miyazaki himself and her will is to set the painting on fire, for the sake of her next painting. She needs to destroy the old world so the rot doesn't contaminate her next work of art. This means Miyazaki wants to craft a new videogame and this videogame needs to be a new IP so it doesn't get contaminated with all the lore and accumulated history of the previous IP (Dark Souls). This new videogame is of course, Elden Ring. But to create Elden Ring Miyazaki first needs to end the Dark Souls series (set the old painting on fire to destroy the rot). Sister Friede represents us, the souls community that cannot accept the ending of the Dark Souls series. It represents the people that choose rot over fire, because "rotted as it is, Ariandel (Dark Souls) is still our home". But this goes against the painter's (Miyazaki's) intentions. It is no coincidence she is the villain in this story. The painter says that in order to create her new painting she needs to see fire to get inspired and that she also needs the blood of the Dark Soul to use as a pigment, she also says that very interesting and memorable quote: "Those who aren't ken to fire cannot paint a world. Those absorbed by fire, must not paint a world." So what does all of this mean in the metaphor? Fire, in this case, represents artistic intention and the will to create art. One must be ken to fire in order to pursue an artistic vision and create art (be it a painting or a videogame). However being absorbed by fire means succumbing to greed and creating art just for money, this is what the painter (Miyazaki) warns us against, as this is something very common when it comes to creating videogames. The painter using the blood of the Dark Soul as the pigment for her new painting is very straightfoward. "The blood of the Dark Soul" represents the essence of the Dark Souls series. Miyazaki is telling us that although the Dark Souls series is ending, it's essence (core mechanics, gameplay, etc) will live on in a new form, as it will be the basis he will use to create his new videogame (Elden Ring). So, this is why there will be no Dark Souls 4. Miyazaki is simply quiet done with the Dark Souls series, and just as we set fire to the painting of Ariandel, he has done the same with the Dark Souls IP.
I'd personally prefer a smaller Dark Souls 4 than another open world like Elden Ring. Elden Ring is an amazing game but I prefer the smaller more intimate worlds in the Dark Souls / Demon's Souls series. Another Bloodborne or a remaster of the orginal on PC would be awesome.
Huge one missing here I feel, as I'll be shocked if their next game isn't a non-numbered sequel to Armored Core VI. Every numbered AC has had a non-numbered sequel which builds on the tech and ideas of the first game released within two years, and VI was a huge success for the series after being brought back for the first time in years. The mission-based structure of AC titles also lend themselves to a faster turnaround than the structure of the Soulsborne games. I'm thinking we see a non-numbered AC sequel in 2025 before whatever the next Miyazaki-directed title is in 2026, which I do think will be a new IP.
To be fair, the mini-sequels they used to make for AC were a characteristic of games in the past, when it was easier to make a stand alone sequel rather than selling a DLC. Monster Hunter did the same. In 2024 I see a big DLC more likely to happen rather than an AC 6.5. But I can't be sure yet
@@nicolobraghini1546 fair points, but personally I think they'll have a hard time selling the idea of a DLC for a game which only sold 3 million units to a publisher, though - obviously it was huuuuuuuuge for AC, but in the grand scheme of From projects, spending 2 years on DLC available to a maximum of 3 million players rather than creating a new game isn't a great way to grow a brand they've only just brought back imo.
@@zero1487 sure, but that's only because it's been a long time since we've had a new Armored Core anyways. The next game could totally be a VII if they do away with non-numbered sequels, personally I like the idea of carrying over some parts and designs which I think they'll be less likely to do with a numbered sequel. If you compare the design philosophy of AC to Souls there's no real reason to not have a fast turnaround on the next game unless they just didn't get right to work on it, it invites asset reuse and uses a mission-based structure. Based on what Miyazaki has said before about wanting to bring AC back, it'd be strange to me to bring it back, have the best sales they've had for an AC game ever, and then bury it until after Shadow of the Erdtree and whatever the next Soulsborne title is. It's still a relatively niche IP despite VI's good sales for the series, which for me suggests it'd be a perfect palette cleanser between Shadow of the Erdtree and the next Miyazaki-helmed title.
Nein, ein Souls braucht keine Open World und ollen Reittiere. Hoffe From Soft geht wieder Back to the Roots. Dark Souls ist immer noch das Beste Spiel!!
We need both these series to return. I remember Otogi being one of first games I played on original Xbox that you could destroy builds and structures by sending enemies flying into them from a heavy attack. They haven't had a Tenchu in so long I had to create Rikimaru in Elden Ring.
Sekiro initially began as a Tenchu reboot, but evolved into a different IP, hence the reason why the stealth mechanics are so similar and Activision's involvement as publisher.
I want From to make an Alien-like survival horror game in space. Imagine the level design if the game took place on a single space ship like Dead Space
I want FromSoft to just move their setting, from Dark to High Fantasy. With floating Islands a la Chrono trigger, Dwarven mountains with caves and carvings out of this world, Elven forests with Erd Trees here and there hosting structures and human castles at the peak of their time unlike DS/ER in which castles are quite worn down.
I wish for more Soulsborne games no matter what. I am not a huge fan of the other games from the company that follow a different style, like Armored Core, but they are free to do whatever they want.
SEKIRO 2, I BEG YOU MIYAZAKI Explanation; the smooth, easy-to-learn but hard to master combat of Sekiro is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever experienced in a game, since unlike Elden Ring it’s completely rhythmic and block-focused, and I would love for Fromsoft to continue into that area and stray away from the usual dodging simulator. There’s only so many times we’ll be given a dodging sim until we get bored of it. And Sekiro, in my opinion, has the most clear potential for story continuation, as much as Bloodborne, ALSO i think sekiro has the most potential for combat and gameplay improvement, as what if they introduce a second weapon to the katana? Or change their movement system to change up the grappling and running? Or even do an OPEN WORLD SEKIRO… idk man i see so much potential.
I know that FromSoftware said they had no plans on doing anything after Shadow of the Erdtree, but there’s absolutely no damn way they had 0 plans with ER since they completely bought the rights back from Bandco. I 100% believe if anything we’re getting some sort of 3rd party media as in a show or movie. As for the next reveal, I think if what ever FromSoft reveals next isn’t a new IP it’ll probably be the next 0.5 entry in the Armored Core VI. We know they’re making more, so I think it’ll come sooner than we expect.
I was 2 years late to Elden Ring and got it after getting sucked in watching streamers playing the DLC - so yeah I was one of those that had to get through the main game before even getting to play SOTE. Now on NG+ I would just be happy with yet another DLC for Elden Ring 😀🤞
I think I've had enough of Elden Ring for now. I love the traditional Dark Souls/Elden Ring style of games, but I also loved Bloodborne and Sekiro, part because of their fresh takes upon the formula, and I feel like I'm more in the mood for a new game like this up next. Also, I think that an Elden Ring 2 or spiritual sequel should innovate and change some aspects, because if it remains largely the same I fear it could start to become stale. I like to brainstorm what kind of things they could make, both for a new IP with souls dna in it or for a spiritual successor to Elden Ring/Elden Ring 2. - Change the UI. Make something better than having to scroll through 10 spells. Let us have something that facilitates using different spells in sequence, for example. - If they want to pivot more into a style of game that deviates from a very basic framwork of mostly normal attacks and basic spells and ever so rarely something fancier to something flashier and more diverse for the player character, maybe something like a system of dynamic combos would be great, where you could active certain moves by doing certain combos in a certain way, with certain magics or skills (being able to equip multiple ashes of war would be cool too) taking on a different effects depending on when you use it. It could have some practical effects like this: X magic has a standard combo. When using the magic while you're doing a sword combo, it becomes a dual magic/sword moveset. If you use Y magic right after the 3 attack combo of a greatsword, a special attack is unleashed. If you use Z magic after using A ash of war, an extension of that ash of war is unleashed. If you use ash of war B right after ash of war A, an alternative move is unleashed. - magic becoming weapons, with normal attack combos and not consuming fp, and having only "special attacks" that could apply both to magic and melee be the ones to consume FP and needing the special attunnement slot. - rework the way this poise/hyper armor bullshit works in these games. Risking being hit is already a tradeoff enough for all of these long spells and skills. Being interrupted all the time if you're not using the heaviest armor in the game is just bad design. Just have us being interrupted by the heaviest hitting attacks and design the skills thinking of the trading as the risk in the risk/reward factor. The system as it is just makes sense for PVP, but not for PVE at all. - make something more dynamic than just dodge rolling to dodge. Maybe implement dodging and deflecting in the same game like Lies of P. Maybe implement a way to dodge attacks while you're attacking with skills or casting, with some limitation like being harder to pull it off (that would be cool and could be a solution to the hyper armor problem). Or have us being able to equip different styles of dodges. Can you imagine having something like bloodhound's step in a dex build and something like floating in a mage build? - a long time ago I had this idea for a Bloodborne sequel that was having a mechanic to build weapons. Lies of P does this in a way, but From could do it in a different way. For example: attach an edge to a pole and it becomes a spear. Attach a furnace to the spear head and it unlocks special attacks in which it causes explosions or bursts of fire in certain attacks. Parts would be interchangeable anytime. Furthermore, with that system having a part on this or not, just evolve the trick weapon system, give weapons more forms, and thus more attacks and more combo possibilities.
@@Sylentmana I watched the recent 15 minute gameplay vid and the animations looked like they were missing significant frames. Hopefully this is something that will be fixed before release. That said, I'm excited that soulslike is evolving beyond "simple" souls combat and incorporating action game mechanics.
Haven't watched the video yet, but I saw some comment about how fromsoft usually put teaser characters in their games as hints for the next. Marvelous Chester from dark souls 1 for bloodborne, Sword master from dark souls 3 for sekiro, ROBERTOOOO from sekiro teasing elden ring. My guess is dryleaf dane teasing a martial arts related game with sekiro mechanics (which just might be wishful thinking)
I was hoping for a game like that already but your theory gives me more copium to huff. Also imagine that with like Sekiro mechanics, it would look so awesome
@@BattleguildI wanna see that too but he still looks really fitting for Elden Ring world as a sorcerer so idk, dryleaf dane is definitely has more chance
If I don't remember wrong, Miyazaki in an interview (don't remember which) he said that his next game will be more focused on magic. If we notice, most of the games you play as a knight/tank character, with th3 exceptions of sekiro and bloodborne. I would guess that this game they're developing now, in case they were developing a more magic based game, the mechanics for the mage combat would be more fluid and less stationary, like it is in dark souls games where your character has to almost completely stop moving to any direction in order to cast a spell or incantation. I would like to see that. But again, I am guessing, I could be wrong in everything I just said.
I do wish they develope their own spin in a wizard game. Closest soulslike relative is Remnant 1 and 2, while outside of it there's the likes of Wizard of Legends and Noita.
My first Monster Hunter game I played with my friends, and they had to tell me to shut up because I kept saying it was so much like a SoulsBorne game lol. They had never played a FromSoft game and immediately fell in love when they finally did! So much overlap woth Monster Hunter, I agree 👍
It's not that Fromsoft is spamming the Soulslike genre, the problem is no one else in the industry is stepping up and evolving other genres and relying on cinematics too much I need Team Ninja to perfect the Ninja Gaiden formula so I have another 3rd person to look forward to.
From should do what Remnant did for their multiplayer and make it so we can share item pickups and stay together after bosses. Most people play is groups of 2 or 3 anyway
It's bizarre that Sony still refuses to do anything with the bloodborne IP. How can a corporation willingly ignore that much guaranteed money, just leaving it right on the table
I wish FromSoft would revive the Tenchu series. As Sekiro was the spiritual successor to Tenchu, it makes sense that they would move over some of that technical prowess to an IP they own.
Sekiro 2. Why? They always put an "out of place" character in their game. Marvelous chester -> Bloodborne Yamamura(?) The samurai traveler in bloodborne -> Sekiro The fighting monk guy in Elden ring DLC> Sekiro 2
since there are rumors of fromsoft hiring more "mecha" designers. i am high on copium that they are going to make a AC6 dlc or a sequel like armored core fa. mech games are niche but hey robots!
A lot of people are forgetting a key point when they refer to what Miyazaki said: yes, he might not have plans for a sequel to ER, but he also said he wants to allow the studio's other directors freedom to start their own projects. If one of his other directors want to do more Elden Ring, Dark Souls, or whatever content, according to Miyazaki, he would support them fully because he WANTS his other teams to grow and lessen the load on him. He's supposed to be the president, not a day to day dev which he admitted to doing way too much of. And I fully expect there to be an Elden Ring TV series in the same vein of Game of Thrones. There is no way people aren't making that connection given the money going around, heh.
I would like to see another game entirely but in the fantasy genre like elden ring. I would hope they give us another elden ring dlc while we wait for that.
With Fromsoftware gaining so much experiences lately throughout their soulsborne titles and their latest titles like Armored Core 6 and Elden Ring both successful at what they deliver on the table sales wise and overall structures of their respective IP. I would love to see a new spiritual succesor to this obscure Fromsoftware game called Frame Gride. A fantasy mecha game utilizing with modern graphics and elements inspired from Aura Battler Dunbine and Visions of Escaflowne would be amazing to see bring to life. Another new Fromsoftware game I would also love to see is another soulslike game that sets in a dark sci-fi setting that is heavily inspired from Tsutomu Nihei's, BLAME! or Knight of Sidonia would also be awesome to see as well.
Congratulations on million subs! I am so happy you achieved that! Deserved for such hard work and looking forward to see more high quality content :) Also I hope SONY gives us some bloodborne remake or :copium: Elden ring 2
@@Megidolaon999 I've played both. Leyndell is the best area Fromsoft has created. The entire city is fully explorable with a fully fledged out sewer area with so much interconnectivity. Central Yharnam comes in a close second though. Bloodborne level design is still amazing. But the legacy dungeons in ER like Stormveil and Leyndell are something else
@@Megidolaon999 i’ve played these games longer than you. Central yharnam is certainly one of the alltime greats but it doesn’t compare really. Anor londo is better and that area is not even close to leyndell or shadowkeep. Blinded by nostalgia, as all elden ring haters are.
I would love to see Myasaki have an attempt at a new Kings Field game. He has shown he can work with different concepts with the Armored Core game, so I would love to see his take on a first person rpg.
Another fromsoft exclusive would be a kick to the balls considering the soulslike genre was grown massively from the pc playerbase, plus Miyazaki himself said he wishes more people to play his games
The perfect type of game imo was dark souls 1, its kinda open world where you can go in any direction and find something that you’ll eventually have to later anyways, but it’s still very compact and closely knit.
Completely disagree. I prefer open world souls game i love exploring and adventuring into the unknown. That’s the joy of of it. Semi open world feels like a video game imo but i guess that’s what you like each there own.
@@abdelaziz8534 I dont like the open world because if you know where items are its a slog go get to them, you just walk in straight lined for like 3 hours and beat the game in 5 hours.
FromSoft won't stop using Daedalus, their in-house engine, for UE. Its a waste of resources where they'd need to capacitate their work force to use another engine altogether.
@@diegosaez4885 where have you heard it referred to as Daedalus? I’ve always heard it referred to as Dantelion or just FromEngine. I’m asking out of curiosity.
Possible sequels listed in order of how hyped I'd be by their announcement: 1. Bloodborne 2 2. Elden Ring 2 3. Sekiro 2 4. Armored Core 7 5. Dark Souls 4
@kolbywilliams7234 Because there is space for one more Talisman. Also, if you believe that every Elden Ring player has played previous Souls games, you have assumed incorrectly.
I've revisited Dark Souls 3 after the ER DLC. After a few days of that, I went back to Elden Ring and got that sense of wonder again for a little while before I settled back in. Really enjoying DS3 again, even though I definitely like Elden Ring more. I plan on replaying Dark Souls 1 and 2 when I'm done with DS3. I never really played DS1 Remaster so it's been a long time since I fought Artorias. I'd like to try Surge and Surge 2, and pickup Lies of P at some point.
from what i heard, Miyazaki said that he wants to "explore the armored core universe more" or something along those lines, could be working on an ac7 potentially
Man that would be a dream come true. I haven't even played BB yet, I'm waiting for them to port it to PC. Then I'll just have to wait another decade to play BB2 on PC as well. I don't want to buy a PS just for one game lol
I would prefer Elden Ring 2. To me it was one of the best FS games atmosphere-wise, it had that dark feel and themes that Dark Souls had, but it also had this magical, epic fantasy vibe, it had contrast which to me Dark Souls and Bloodborne lacked. I also hope that they give up on their current multiplayer system and just give us seamless co-op to play with friends, I have recently finished a playthrough with seamless co-op mod and it was awesome, it definitly makes the game a lot easier, but it is also a lot of fun to explore the world with a friend and share your theories about the lore as you discover and explore all the awesome places FS has built.
Dark Souls 2 Remastered would go hard. Only change I’d like would be ditching Soul Memory matchmaking. But they could make it look a lot nicer and get that pre-release lighting.
I'm just glad we're done with elden ring .I'm really hoping for either sekiro 2,bloodborne pc, or new entirely ip, dark souls like level design though.
I would love FromSoftware next game to be a fushion of Bloodborne and Tenchu. Imagine, steampunk ninja with interchangeable switch weapons. A darker tone, featuring more in-depth stealth mechanic, more rpg-like compared to Sekiro, and include more variety and builds. Incorporating paper talismans and seals that could act like enchantments. The game could be about your role as a ninja giving the task of slaying yokais & demons in the realms of Japanese folklore and mythology. I could already imagine the insane creature and boss design base on Japanese folklore. Level design should not be open world but more interconnected, think Dark souls, but more branching paths. This will lower the development time and improve other aspect that was weak in Elden Ring, like enemy placement and ambush zones.
After finishing Erdtree, I went back and did a Souls 1-3 marathon. It made me wish they would make Dark Souls 4 so much. If want 4 to combine interconnectivity and charm of DS1, the sheer size and amount of areas as DS2, and the improved visuals/movement and bosses of DS3. To make one massive Dark Souls 4 experience that would surely be incredible
Lords of the fallen is really good...and there's stuff like item randomization now for fun runs...but for some reason, less than 500 in game by the steam community tab. Which is non functional for multiplayer. 😢
I think a DS4 would match or even eclipse Elden Ring. For several reasons. First, FromSoftware would surely use the same engine and massive open world like they did on Elden Ring, because they set the bar very high themselves, so players wouldn't expect anything less. Second, the DS gameplay was absolutely addictive, especially with covenants (which were severely lacking in Elden Ring despite fans asking for them). In fact, Elden Ring invasions are shitty, they're either too restricted in space (arenas) or way too big in the open world (it takes ages to find the host when summoned as a defender for example). In contrast, in DS3, the invasion areas are few, not too big, not too small, just perfect. So a DS4 + open world + covenants + proper multiplayer/invasions would definitely satisfy the faithful fanbase as well as new gamers. And third, story-wise, FromSoft can always come up with a new arc or something, that's not an issue. The DS3 trilogy was the best ever, multiplayer, covenants, fight clubs, it was a winning formula. Unfortunately that formula wasn't applied to Elden Ring, so a DS4 would fill that void.
I would really love them trying something completely new like a survival horror in fantasy stetting. Like Resident Evil mixed with bloodborne setting...
I just hope the next game is open world. Unpopular opinion, I know. Elden Ring being my first FS game, I want to see more like it in the future. Obviously not as big.
Another dark medieval fantasy IP that further expands what they've been doing with Dark Souls/Elden Ring is good enough for me🤷🏼♂️ Gimme more while shaking it up.
Elden is not coming back soon, but there are possibilities in the future, blood borne 2 will definitely come because Sony will use it for next console, there might be something new coming.
I would love to see a fromsoft game that is a souls game but at the height of a world instead of worlds in ruin. Spending some down time in towns, castles, and villages before going back into the meat grinder would be a nice change of pace. A little more story that isn’t hyper convoluted would be nice too
After diving into seamless coop, I really thought that FromSoft might really enjoy making a coop focused game, where boss fights and dungeon exploration can only be completed with one other player. It could open up new ideas on how to keep things challenging. Either way, I’m excited regardless for their next game!

Would love a Bloodborne sequel. Just finished replaying it and forgot how much I loved it.
I will explain:
The paintings in Dark Souls are works of arts, but they are also worlds that people can inhabit.
I think a trilogy remake or remaster would be amazing though
@@Yive. Yeah, I agree. DS 1 and 2 could have remakes like the one Demon's Souls had.

It’s also been years since the did that. Idk, I wouldn’t be betting too hard on it cuz a lot can change in all that time
@@nicolobraghini1546 fair points, but personally I think they'll have a hard time selling the idea of a DLC for a game which only sold 3 million units to a publisher, though - obviously it was huuuuuuuuge for AC, but in the grand scheme of From projects, spending 2 years on DLC available to a maximum of 3 million players rather than creating a new game isn't a great way to grow a brand they've only just brought back imo.
Elden Ring 2 that adds more to do in the open world like puzzle-solving, mounts and weapon crafting would be amazing.
I don’t like weapon crafting I’d prefer more things like Skyrim but just not boring dialogue

I want them to bring back Otogi and Tenchu
We need both these series to return. I remember Otogi being one of first games I played on original Xbox that you could destroy builds and structures by sending enemies flying into them from a heavy attack. They haven't had a Tenchu in so long I had to create Rikimaru in Elden Ring.
Sekiro initially began as a Tenchu reboot, but evolved into a different IP, hence the reason why the stealth mechanics are so similar and Activision's involvement as publisher.
Yes to Otogi!!
Well Sekiro was basically Tenchu(Wrath of Heaven) at least

Or maybe just a Sci-Fi Soulslike for a start.
It won't work with guns..
ER was basically DS4 open world so I think it will replace that spot
I want FromSoft to just move their setting, from Dark to High Fantasy. With floating Islands a la Chrono trigger, Dwarven mountains with caves and carvings out of this world, Elven forests with Erd Trees here and there hosting structures and human castles at the peak of their time unlike DS/ER in which castles are quite worn down.
I bet it will be something unexpected - like a modern spiritual successor to King's Field.

I wish for more Soulsborne games no matter what. I am not a huge fan of the other games from the company that follow a different style, like Armored Core, but they are free to do whatever they want.
I think it’s a safe bet that FromSoftware will make a second game in Armored Core gen 6
SEKIRO 2, I BEG YOU MIYAZAKI
Explanation; the smooth, easy-to-learn but hard to master combat of Sekiro is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever experienced in a game, since unlike Elden Ring it’s completely rhythmic and block-focused, and I would love for Fromsoft to continue into that area and stray away from the usual dodging simulator.
HBO tv show for the shattering would be crazy legit just game of thrones.
I think there’ll be another Elden ring game but it’s 1 or 2 games out. So not for a long while.

I'm sooooo hyped to put my hands in First Berserker: Khazan...
Thanks for mentioning this, I haven't heard of it before and I checked out the trailer and now I'm excited to learn more as it gets closer to release!

But again, I am guessing, I could be wrong in everything I just said.

since there are rumors of fromsoft hiring more "mecha" designers. i am high on copium that they are going to make a AC6 dlc or a sequel like armored core fa. mech games are niche but hey robots!
but they will surely do some more ambitious project alongside it
A lot of people are forgetting a key point when they refer to what Miyazaki said: yes, he might not have plans for a sequel to ER, but he also said he wants to allow the studio's other directors freedom to start their own projects.
The closest thus far to a second director is they guy behind Sekiro and AC6, and he has done a nice job thus far.
Deserved for such hard work and looking forward to see more high quality content :)
Also I hope SONY gives us some bloodborne remake or :copium: Elden ring 2
Thank you so much!
We need a new IP and maybe another Elden ring dlc would be amazing.
Nah, elden ring is complete after its challenging dlc.
@@issi529 there's still unresolved lore surrounding Godwyn and the first born demigods. Maybe not now but another two years.
i just want the classic level design from the previous titles before elden ring
Same. Elden rings great and all but the open world didn’t hit the same.
@@Near_Pluto_ legacy dungeons are amongst the best areas in the series. Shadowkeep and leyndell ARE the best areas in the series.
Atleast be fair
@@Stanzbey69lmfaooo. Leyndell better than Central Yharnam? You’ve only played Elden Ring, of course lol. And don’t try and argue, it’s obvious 😃
Dark Elden Bloodborne Souls Ring 2.
Yeeeeessss
Another fromsoft exclusive would be a kick to the balls considering the soulslike genre was grown massively from the pc playerbase, plus Miyazaki himself said he wishes more people to play his games
I just hope the next game is not open world. A bloodblorne remaster and a bloodborne 2 would be awesome.
The perfect type of game imo was dark souls 1, its kinda open world where you can go in any direction and find something that you’ll eventually have to later anyways, but it’s still very compact and closely knit.
Ds2@@Yousifzzz
@@Yousifzzzthat's the shit, I am addicted to that kind of semi-open world with map interconnection much more.
I'd like to see a Sekiro-style game but focusing on Martial Arts/Hand to Hand combat. Loved the Dryleaf Arts in SOTE so I'd like to see that explored.
Sekiro 2 on Unreal Engine 5 would be so frigging awesome.
Can you explain to me why Unreal Engine 5 would make a Sekiro sequel more awesome to you
unreal engine 5 is overrated at an unreal level
FromSoft won't stop using Daedalus, their in-house engine, for UE. Its a waste of resources where they'd need to capacitate their work force to use another engine altogether.
@@diegosaez4885 where have you heard it referred to as Daedalus? I’ve always heard it referred to as Dantelion or just FromEngine. I’m asking out of curiosity.
Possible sequels listed in order of how hyped I'd be by their announcement:
1. Bloodborne 2
2. Elden Ring 2
3. Sekiro 2
4. Armored Core 7
5. Dark Souls 4
How come the DLC didn't give us a 5th Talisman Pouch? 🤨😑
That would have been perfect and unlocked new build opportunities
Perfect slot for the golden braid 😂
I wanted a cool looking beard. The same beard that Godfrey had LoL.
The souls games never let you have more than four rings or talismans. Why would this even be an expectation at all?
@kolbywilliams7234 Because there is space for one more Talisman. Also, if you believe that every Elden Ring player has played previous Souls games, you have assumed incorrectly.
My wishlist is:
1- Sekiro 2
2- Bloodborne 2
3- elden ring 2
4- new ip
5- armored core 7
Imagine the next game we get is a ninja blade game.
Haven't tried AC6 BUT, I hear fantastic things about it and it really makes me wanna try it.
@@Tortuga2223areally fun game and challenging not a mecha fan at all but it goes hard
@@Tortuga2223a its not as good as the eldenringsoulsbornesekiro games, not even close really, but it is definitely good.
As long as they ditch the "opened world" I'll be happy
There is finally some real hope for Bloodborne 2.
Given how certain he sounds in this vid, I'd say he has some insider info but won't disclose
Man that would be a dream come true. I haven't even played BB yet, I'm waiting for them to port it to PC. Then I'll just have to wait another decade to play BB2 on PC as well. I don't want to buy a PS just for one game lol
It would single-handedly kill the “playstation has no games” meme but Sony is too fucking stupid to let from make it
I would prefer Elden Ring 2.
But they could make it look a lot nicer and get that pre-release lighting.
a dark souls trilogy remake would be amazing
I'm just glad we're done with elden ring .I'm really hoping for either sekiro 2,bloodborne pc, or new entirely ip, dark souls like level design though.
Showed up solely for the Bloodborne speculation, ngl.
My Bloodborne 2 dream will never die
After finishing Erdtree, I went back and did a Souls 1-3 marathon. It made me wish they would make Dark Souls 4 so much. If want 4 to combine interconnectivity and charm of DS1, the sheer size and amount of areas as DS2, and the improved visuals/movement and bosses of DS3. To make one massive Dark Souls 4 experience that would surely be incredible
You guys dont mention Sekiro 2 in the coments because you don't want the smoke
Personally I'd love to see another Elden Ring but whichever it turns out to be, I'll be there for it. Thanks, Fex.
5:01 i always forget that gaming has become another lucrative industry run by slimy businessmen who don't know anything about games
Lords of the fallen is really good...and there's stuff like item randomization now for fun runs...but for some reason, less than 500 in game by the steam community tab. Which is non functional for multiplayer. 😢
People acted fanboyish and trashed on the title despite it being really good
Thanks for the great video!!!!!!!
"Bloodborne 2: Pirates!" with the exclamation mark.
I want Dark Souls 4 not only with The return of Lifegems but managem
Bloodborne pc port fr fr
On god no cap skibidi ohio
I would really love them trying something completely new like a survival horror in fantasy stetting. Like Resident Evil mixed with bloodborne setting...
Feels illegal to be this early lmao

I just hope the next game is open world. Unpopular opinion, I know. Elden Ring being my first FS game, I want to see more like it in the future. Obviously not as big.
fextragoat
I really liked Lords of the Fallen, that was a fun romp. Haven't played Lies of P yet, but everyone seems to like it, so it's on my list.
Open world Bloodborne in Japan as a Japanese katana wielding hunter with Sekiro combat would be the dream
Another dark medieval fantasy IP that further expands what they've been doing with Dark Souls/Elden Ring is good enough for me🤷🏼♂️
Gimme more while shaking it up.
Elden is not coming back soon, but there are possibilities in the future, blood borne 2 will definitely come because Sony will use it for next console, there might be something new coming.
Elden ring needs to be the focus. It's a phenomenon
I would love to see a fromsoft game that is a souls game but at the height of a world instead of worlds in ruin. Spending some down time in towns, castles, and villages before going back into the meat grinder would be a nice change of pace. A little more story that isn’t hyper convoluted would be nice too
I’m betting (gently) on a bluepoint remake of Bloodborne as a launch title for PS6. They did it with DS for PS5. Can you imagine the hype!
After diving into seamless coop, I really thought that FromSoft might really enjoy making a coop focused game, where boss fights and dungeon exploration can only be completed with one other player. It could open up new ideas on how to keep things challenging. Either way, I’m excited regardless for their next game!
I really Hope for another DLC for Elden Ring with the STORY of GODWYN or MARIKA. At least one MORE ! :)
My humble guess of what could possibly be their next game is -- a sorcery/magic focused game with a smaller but content denser map.
