Respect to both men but especially Tommy. Not only has he got the pressure of the fight and all that, but in the eyes of his family he was expected, to win. And it’s not worth thinking about what would have happened if he lost! It would have been shameful to them as a family and he wouldn’t have been able to live it down. I’m the same age as Tommy and have a daughter as well, with all the pressure he had on his shoulders and admitting he felt all the pressure, taking time away from his family to focus on the biggest boxing event he could have this early in his career and to come out on top, it’s quite impressive.
And this is coming from someone who bought all the hype of him ducking Jake but you could clearly see there is levels to boxing.

Leading up to this fight you see Tommy seeming cool, calm and collected but in reality there was so much pressure on his shoulders, so much to lose and so much on the line. Jake on the other hand, although he has taken this boxing route seriously, never really had much to lose it’s just been a few years for him while Fury has a whole family legacy to uphold. There’s levels to this and it showed. Well done Tommy!!

What impressed me about Tommy was how humble he was in victory. It's important to be humble in defeat, but in my mind, it's more important to be humble in victory. I'm the same age as John, and have been following Tyson since his first pro bout. Not only has John been a great instructor in the sweet science, but far greater is the fact that he's been an excellent father who brought those boys up right. John, I applaud you, and if ever you and your boys want to get in an elk hunt or some of the best trout fishing in the world, you have an open invitation to visit me at my cabin in the Montana Rockies. I have a guest cabin so I have plenty of room. If you can handle an off the grid experience in the woods, just contact me. In all honesty though for a young kid. @23 yrs young with so much still to learn he’s got good stamina. Held his own there and looked the fresher fighter from start to finish. And has a great future.
