@@naredelectronics576 I bough the same motor from a different seller and after fixing the speed is slower than the original EV3 motor. Not sure if it is because of my seller's motor is not as good.
@@limsoonchiong It may be you bought the 12V motor. Although the model number is the same, you have to choose 7V Motor. EV3 can only supply 7V from the battery.
I need a replacement motor too. I only can find an 12v or 6v motor. Does an 7v engine exist? Can I use the 6v engine for replacement in the large servo motor of mindstorms ev3?
@pbstuij the original ev3 motor is 6V, so you should be good to use 6V. The link that he posted is for a 6V motor so I'm not sure why he said 7V (probably a typo). Also sorry for being 8 months late. Use 6V.
