Religion is of the latin meaning a way of life, it is just a word...you can be religious about Jesus Christ, and have a "relationship". That is why Buddhism is spreading rapidly in the western countries. He did not have a proper understanding of Buddhism. And it appears that he did not receive a Buddhist education. Now I am a Theravada Buddhist. I am an ex christian.

I love this so much!! I was born and raised Christian but fell prey to the spiritual new age community for the past 15 years.. what a sad, confusing, false rooted, self centered spiral that was. Always seeking and never finding. I came back to Jesus recently and have never felt so much peace, love, and clarity in my life! God was so patient with me and all my mistakes. guys, please pray for my mom who's a Buddhist. She married my dad who's a Catholic and faced severe harassment from my father's parents for watching Buddhist tv programs. She converted to Christianity for marriage but I don't think she has any faith. She came from a rich Buddhist aristocratic family and therefore there's pride in her heart as well. my dad came from a poor uneducated family even though my dad is very educated. My mom has a bad image about Christians due to my father's parents' actions and harassment. Please pray for her. No matter how much I tell her about God she has this hesitation in her heart cuz she has a bad image about Christians

I wish everyone could meet Jesus and find out just how wonderful He is. If only they knew how much He really loves us and desires a genuine relationship with each of us. Jesus gives us a new heart, a new mind, a new spirit...behold all things have become new. The day a person is born again by asking Jesus Christ into their life is the best day ever!

The buddhist/meditation way is saving ourselves by ourselves, see who we are and reality, and free ourselves. It is for the strong and free spirits. Worshipping an unknown god is another way, more uncertain, but as long as it can give positive things also to some people, why not. The essential is to not impose our beliefs to others, and respect them

Its good to share with people as much as you can so at least they know but you cant just make them become christian even though you wish they could just feel the power.

The secret of being a Buddhist is to have a strong mind and will power. Without that no one would be able to see how peaceful the philosophy is. Buddhism is not a religion. Buddhism is all about getting to know the real you and accepting the truth of life. After all not everyone can understand how deep and profound the Buddha's teachings are. Its all based on karma. I was an Ex-Buddhist myself. My family still till this day are Buddhist followers although they only worship the altar at their home. I can't find anything peaceful or anything that can help me with my life (with Asperger's Syndrome adding fuel to the fire). Fortunately, Christ just lifted that up and helped me up in difficult trials. I can't think of a faithful master and father than Jesus who is willing to die for all men's sins and gave us a life everlasting and joining in this great relationship. I thank him for his love, even I'm a very broken, undeserved man who had done so many sinful things in life.

I dont have hatred, it's a testimony I found and it was eye opening. what I can say from my experience is that hell is real and I did see devil the serpent in plain daylight. It turn my life upside down and went through some terrifying experiences after that. I can tell you THAT IT IS REAL and this happened to me recently last July. I would tell everyone Do Not play with your life and ask Jesus Christ in your heart and Lord over your life.
JESUS CHRISTis the ONLY WAY to heaven. All other ways are the devil deceive way and false peace. I Beg you ask Jesus to show you if he is real and he will. He will just because he LOVE YOU and he created all things.

@Banshan Lang. that's not how that works there are gods in buddhism but they pray to the buddha because he is more than god he had to train for millions opon millions of years to attain buddha hood while god just appeared out of nowhere and nobody knows who created him

Glory to Jesus. There is no other name given unto man by which we must be saved except the Name of Jesus The Messiah.
As people are people we all have different stories, ironically mine was the complete opposite of this. I was a Christian who left that path behind and became a Buddhist, but its good to see people following their gut, that's what matters in life more then some arbitrary creed.
Sometimes searching for God and peace in other faiths will help you to see that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the original and living God, and I pray that this is so with you. If you're still searching, keep in mind that tomorrow is not promised you. I pray that you'll have encounters with Jesus because they are what keep me grounded in him whenever I feel burned out. Many Christians have never had encounters with Jesus, so they sway, encounters cause you to have depth as believer in Christ.

I agree with you Buddhism is not easy. It is a religion or philosophy of wisdom to understand the truth of nature and focus on oneself not a believe system like other religions. In my opinion, human nature don't like a difficult thing that why believe in God is easier just have a faith that's it.

Buddhism doesn't say come to me I will heal your pain or suffering. It's your own decision or will to become a better person. God is just an imagination for you to become better. And Buddhism never says never believe in God instead it teaches us to become better person by believing or not believing in God. Buddha will not be angry if no-one chooses buddhist, if we grow and become the best version of ourselves than that's Buddha's success because above God or anything he wants us to realise that we are the master of ourself.

I'm a Buddhist but I support ANY and ALL genuine spiritual Goodness in particular the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Prayer is surely somehow a form of meditation. The Coptic Christians and Orthodox Christian monks still meditate often in seclusion and often together.

It looks like all he needed was connection with some people, he felt alone. It seems like it helped him, this whole experience had a good impact on his repressed subconscious trauma. It's interesting how different things have different effects on different people. I was a devoted Christian and I went through a lot in life, I almost successfully ended my life, but I miraculously survived. I remember seeing a light before waking up, but I never saw Jesus. I never received any help from Jesus when I cried out to him and the Bible made my depression worse. My mother is a devoted Christian and she seems so distant and cold, just because I don't fit in this Christian community. Meditation works for me, but I don't follow Buddhism, I don't follow Christianity, I don't follow any religion or movement. I know that I am loved on the other side despite Christians or other religions people discriminating and pointing fingers at me for following my own path. I am recovering from religious trauma and I am free, I don't belong to any religion. I believe in energy, I don't believe in religion. You will always feel welcomed in an energetical environment that matches your energy. Everybody matters and everybody is loved, there is no discrimination on the other side, you are not judged based on labels. I am happy to see people that find their places where they feel welcomed, I respect everybody's beliefs, as long as it doesn't have a negative impact on them. In the end, love is the answer and it's all that matters. 🙏❤️

I was a Christian, so I decided to read the Old Testament book more closely and I met a god who ordered the killing of children and who assumed his sexual violence against women. A vain god who encouraged many wars and deaths and asked for animal sacrifices in his name. Then I realized that something like this could not be a good god and that never anyone with the power to create the universe would be the owner of such evil and allow such pain and suffering in the world.
I saw that the Bible is full of contradictions:
We should fear God (Matthew 10:28)
We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)
I also realized that in all countries where the followers of the Abrahamic god are in great numbers, people live by killing themselves. Many of them in the name of that god.
So I got to know Buddhism and I am very satisfied.

You do wrong without being told that it is not right. If you kill someone, and not know that killing is wrong. How would you know that it is wrong? In the end, there is one ultimate judge, God!

It's pretty much fair so whatever religion people have, either they will be go to heaven or hell depends on what they did (good or bad) not because of a certain religion who will guarantee u to heaven

Same. I used to be a Christian but I’m a lot happier and fulfilled after discovering Buddhism. A lot of people have the wrong idea about Buddhism. It isn’t a religion rather it’s a set of life teachings that help us align with the universe and live in harmony. It’s so peaceful and loving and I’m glad I looked into it. We’re all children of the universe and there’s no right or wrong way to connect with the Creator.
Buddhism is a worldly philosophy/religion meanwhile Christ offers us eternal life if we believe in Him and follow His commandments and do good deeds.
Thanks to God. He is amazing in his work. God is still able to save the others by his love!
I'm a Buddhist. I read the Bible and went to a Christian church. I've never seen people treated each other badly. Some people will lie, cheat, steal, and kill but believe God will forgive them if they ask for forgiveness. Jesus wore the robes of those of a monk, not of a suit of Christian asking for your money. Don't be blinded by man, but open your eyes a read the writings on the wall for yourself. Walk in your own shoes and judge for yourself.

Amen! The baptism of the Holy Spirit takes our relationship with the Lord to a whole other level. Power, anointing, gifts, intimacy...He truly is wonderful.
You receive The Holy Spirit when you have faith that The Lord Jesus Christ has saved you from your sin/transgressions/wrongdoing by his death on the cross, burial and resurrection. Believing in Him as your saviour by faith will save you and when you have faith in his free gift then you will receive The Holy Spirit and He will never leave you.
