You can’t judge where he is at now without looking at where he came from, which was pathologically Trump deranged. A Catholic, who happens to play football, gives a speech at a Catholic college and espouses Catholic values.
There is zero that he said that would be controversial in a Catholic setting.
The only people who are going to be offended by it are people who aren’t Catholic, who would never go to that college, who would never go to a church and share no values with Catholics.
He didn’t go to a feminist college and give that speech.

I have my degree and when I had my third child, I stayed home full-time. I’ve never regretted it. I asked my daughter about a favorite memory from childhood. She said “just being at home.” Reality, it’s not easy but worth it!
Her reply about her favorite memory is priceless. You never know when a magic moment is going to happen so you need to put in the time and be there if possible.
People forget the meaning of life is to build something for God and teach the people you leave behind to keep building what you leave them even higher....not to build something for yourself. It starts with family.
My wife and I have 7 children and we are happy together. She hasn’t had to work most of our marriage until recently when I became disabled. Every night she comes home she says how much she misses being home with the kids. Also with me home all the time I realize how much I missed my older kids growing up.
I really do envy couple whom had seven children, like you and my other friend. I was stuck having just two kids because, a) I didn’t find a partner till was much older and married later than most people; and b) my hubby didn’t want any more.
I wanted more kids but my husband only wanted 2 😔.. God bless your big family.

I wish my mom hadn't worked. She went back to finish her degree when I was 5 and be amen a surgical nurse. Not a great schedule and she was tired all the time. They made it necessary for both parents to work and women were told staying home with kids was a lesser calling. It's the highest calling...raising the next generation. I miss my mom now and I missed out on my mom in my childhood.

The kids pay the price. Kids today are traumatized because they weren't prioritized and raised right. One parent needs to be home for the children. It doesn't have to be the woman. But children should be raised by a parent, not strangers.

54% of our nation reads below a 6th grade reading level (That is the grade BEFORE junior high school in most schools).
1 in 5 high school GRADUATES cannot read.
In other words:
46% of our nation is literate and reads above a junior high school level.
You don't need to be 10 times better. You just need to be slightly above average. An average which is abysmal.
But they all do texting, so they do write and read.

I've been seeing the kerfluffle over the Harrison Butker thing for a couple of days with people going on about how out of touch he was. Do you know what I did not get from any of those stories and hot takes that I got here? That he was talking at a Catholic college to Catholic students. It makes so much more sense when you put it in context. He was sharing his values with people who assumably share them. He was giving balance to these women who will be shamed for wanting to choose motherhood after getting a degree and telling them whatever they choose, it's all fine. I get it now and I'm shaking my head at the faux feminist outrage.

Last night was a great surprise, and a good time was had by all!
I was raised the oldest of 7 children. My best childhood memories were of my mom teaching me how to do laundry, make a proper bed, how to mop a floor. Best of all, she was always home when we got off the bus, many times cooking fudge, or baking cookies an after school treat. We had hardwood floors which she waxed twice a year. Just things like that have made me a good wife and housekeeper. I do work full time, as I never had children. I’m 68, and my mom is now gone, but as I grow older, I think more and more about how good it felt to have my mom at home when I was young. I am convinced her attentiveness made me who I am. Too many moms on their cell phones these days, ignoring their kids. So sad!

I'm a stay at home mom and I homeschooled my kids. They're 18, 16, and 14 years old now. I'm already asking myself if I could have spent more time on them. I'm already asking myself if I did enough. My greatest achievement will always be my children. I love them with my life. I will never regret staying home with them, teaching them, and having all that time with them. I couldn't imagine the last 18 years without my babies. I couldn't imagine grinding away in the corporate world for a boss who really doesn't care about me. I'm a dime a dozen to him. To my children, I was their everything.

Being a woman in my Sixties who left a career I fully enjoyed when my husband and I happily discovered I was with child, I can say that being a stay at home mom and homemaker was incredible. I can also say there were many challenges I faced internally having given up my career. But I am so blessed to have been able to be there for our child. (I was only able to have one and she is and always has been an angel and a gift from our creator to me!)
I truly believe that the start of the decline in our nation’s moral compass coincides with our mothers leaving our children to be raised by strangers, sometimes from birth. I understand many mothers have had no choice do to circumstance’s of their lives, but even when a majority of women are able to be home to give guidance to children in a loving, firm, nurturing manner with a father earning the wage and being the pillar of strength every family needs, is when a nation thrives. I know ours did! I also know ours no longer does.

I appreciated Harrison's speech because he has respect for his wife. He's not a barefoot and pregnant wife in the kitchen guy. He gave his wife all the credit she deserves for being the one holding everything together and raising the kids. I stayed home when my kids were little, but went back to work when they went to school. These were choices for me, but I can really respect the ones that choose it.

How is Butker in a "position of privilege" when he earned his way on to an NFL team and helped them win a championship with high accuracy?
He also did congratulation the women, nor did he "put anyone in their place", he offered a suggestion as to an alternative to having no family. His comments were on point, accurate, empowering, and encouraging at a Christian college whom shares his beliefs in God and family anyway.
Meanwhile that cheerleader says nothing about the discouraging, toxic gaslighting and race-baiting speech Biden just gave at a black college, which will only spike black crime rates even more like Obama did and like have soared out of control under Biden, specifically due to speeches like he gave.
