TERMINATOR: HUNTER KILLER is a proof-of-concept short film, set in the future war of the Terminator-movie universe, as the humans struggle to survive in the post-apocalyptic wasteland following 'Judgment Day'.

Thank you to the talented 3D artists who generously made available many of their 3D assets for free - these were vital in me being able to realise my vision.
And of course very special thanks to James Cameron, Gale Anne Hurd, Stan Winston, and everyone involved in the creation of 'The Terminator' & 'Terminator 2'.
• This 3D short film was created in @MaxonVFX Cinema 4D.

How they didn't use synth sound for the any of the Terminator franchises after T2 is beyond me. It's mechanical, dark, and iconic. Unmistakable Terminator.
If I could give you a million thumbs up, I would. It has baffled me since the third movie. It just doesn’t hit the same without that sound.
@@Scytale82 No. They use those traditional cinematic music that just isn't Terminator. Brad Fiedel nailed it and if Tim Miller was serious about wanting to return the Terminator franchise he shoulda started by bringing Fiedel back.
@@chucklos391 Or at the very least, give a few of the hundreds of synthwave musicians who make that style of music a chance of scoring a Hollywood film.
@@Vaporvice84 Very much agreed. There are a ton of talented ones out there and this vaporwave/future retrowave has a real strong presence on CZcams. People love and want this sound.

7:58 is my favorite bit. I can easily picture Skynet's Central Core being shut down to this theme. Ultimate Triumph of the Resistance.
It could be used for the Ukraine resistance. You can picture a Russian helicopter or plane being shot down every time it plays.

This is so much better than T3,T4,T5 and even T6...this a true Sequel so better what Hollywood cam bring.
This was s hard to believe this doesn't have way more views and likes.

Especially the 102 model based on Franco Columbu (future war terminator). Hell perhaps 600 series with rubber skin. Overall this is what we want. As fans of the franchise, thank you.

7:58 should be called "NO FATE". Blast that shit when the Terminator franchise triumphantly returns one day, as authentic as this work of art. For I believe in hope, and the future is not yet written. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.
We need more of this. Esspecially about the ""future war" it could be a whole new chapter on its own in The Terminator franchize..
