“Aya” is very common name for girls in Japan and her outfit is traditional Japanese school uniform that I also used to wear in my Junior High. Also the school uniform and her accessories remind me of sailor moon. In addition, the backpack is called “Randoseru” which is a school bag for elementary school students in Japan. Finally the socks. Those are “ Loose Sock” which was really popular when I was teenager. I love and enjoy Aya’s concept and appreciate how they brought Japanese culture into the doll!!!

This one's my favorite out of the new Tweens. I like that they even gave her some extra shorts underneath. The jacket's cool on its own, but I think she looks better with it off. I agree, this would have made a great OMG.

I absolutely love the series 2 Tween dolls. Aya Cherry is adorable and I hope I get her for Christmas if it ever arrives in my country. I kinda wish that they made the entire inside of the box her room instead of half. It would be cool since the box has windows now. I do miss the bed they usually come with 'cause it gives the box more use for play, but it's still fine even without it.
She looks really cute. Although I like the change in packaging I think it's a bit sad that they couldn't incorporate the girl's rooms like they had in the previous packaging, particularly as it felt like you got more with the first wave in that regard. That said I feel like this second wave is more interesting than the first one so will be looking out for these to hit Europe soon.
Eight months later, I'm just starting the second series so I'm enjoying this review now. She's so adorable 🥰
Her backpack is the typical Japanese elementary school children's backpack but with a cuter design.
I just got Aya as my first doll in my collection. I saw her in the store while trying to decide what doll to start with and had to have her. Thanks to you, I learned that her knees snapped! I thought her legs didn't move but I didn't care bc I loved her so much anyway lol
She is my favorite. I got her for my daughter. She is so so well made, worth every penny.❤
The Tweens series 2 is the best OMG/BTW line ever made in my opinion, it's just appealing to all my aesthetic tastes at once...!

I had series 1 but sold them, I didn't really like their lips and there's something I like more in OMG's buuuut I think I will get Aya and maybe Grace. Aya Cherry is my favorite of the Tweens. I love her kawaii anime girl aesthetic. I would definitely rename to to Sakura or Best Girl just to give her a more Otaku sounding name though.
