Funny this is coming straight from brother Phil since I too faced the crossroads and walked away three years ago so I can be focused with our Lord personally.
Never thought of it as social media making you crown yourself. You become your own god having the world turn around you stopping to seek God's Kingdom first

Hes saying" follow Jesus, not me!" And we didn't have social media 30 yrs ago. We lived just fine. Bands had followers just the same
Another good video on CZcams. I never once in my life was online or on social media, from the day I was born to when I got my cell phone and my tablet and also while working as a mail room clerk from day one in August of 2004 to March of 2017 and when I was laid off and from working as a loader at Lowe's May of 2018 up to now and I turned out just fine without being online or on social media, honestly :-).

The greatest thing for me was when I was writing my blog and wrote to that Christian artist via mail, the next day he responded! Had not expected that. On social media I never experienced sth like it.
