Eltharion was probably both embittered at being made to suffer a seemingly-lethal poisoning only to have his passing beyond the veil denied late in the night, and emboldened in his self-prescribed mission of defense against dark elves by such a supernatural survival. At least his ghastly father transformed into a sword in time for sunrise.
He bore one impressive golden suit of ornamental yet nonetheless effectively mobile-looking battle armor. To face Malekith the Witch-King in personal combat - and wound him - is an achievement unique among the many legendary elven characters and another badge of honor for Eltharion. Of course, his war griffon was a badass, beastly mount.
Another Grom, without the Paunch? That's not Blacktooth the orc shaman, on another continent across the sea, the same wyvern-riding shaman as in the novel “Grimblades”...is it?
Yes, this Grim High Elf Lord of Grimness in The Grimdark fantasy universe was dumped on with typical disservice treatment in those misconstrued Times of Ending. I know of too little Fantasy elven lore in general and very few of the legends apart from the most-repeated names, so this veteran of Ulthuan was another pointy-ear new to me, GDN. He was a badass force of resistance against the druchii who was due an alliance with the Shadow King's legacy yet was wronged by the End. Thank you for yet another satisfying elven entry of encyclopedic lore. May you be well, have an awesome day, and Kurnous watch over you.

But a storm cloud was fast approaching
A light fast approaching they were warriors hard as steel
Eltharion raised his sword and struck like death
Flying with vengeance on a griffin
Made of wings and storm
He was grim with steel.
He fought his way with grim determination and bloody tears
He struck down black tooth with vengeance and bloody tears
Go brave warriors with bloody tears
With new found courage we struck like death with bloody tears
Go Eltharion with your grim resolve
And lead us with your hatred
the green tide receded back into the darkness
We are now ghost with only hatred and bloody tears
But through the death are savior will shine forth our tears away
Go Eltharion with your grim resolve
And be the light that shines forth through are bloody tear's
I don't even know who this elf was but I sure did learn something new today. What a man elf. 😭🎂
Wow what an inspiring story about a blind person surmounting challenges and learning the power of friendship... and then losing those friends and killing more people.
Grimdark appropriate.
