Great analysis. Yes, Sydnie has stage experience, but I agree it is not prohibited nor diminishes her extraordinary performance in any way. Imagine all the other acts, like dancers, jugglers, knife throwers, pet acts, and magicians. Many of them have years of training and stage experience. Ventriloquist Terry Fator was performing well before winning AGT. Olate Dogs, winner of AGT 2012, performed for years in circuses and films before AGT. Also, other Got Talent contestants have appeared in multiple Got Talent shows, such as Cristina Ramos and The Mayyas dancers.

Beautiful commentary. I agree with every single thing you said. And Sidney cannot be that “successful” she’s working in the front as a receptionist a gym. and the majority of acts on any of the got talent shows, the boys, American Idol… They are not amateurs, but they just haven’t had their big break yet

You didn’t show it on your video, but it was so interesting that they played Over The Rainbow, sung by Loren Allred, who also got a Golden Buzzer from Amanda on BGT 2022.
But this girl is pretty much a complete unknown, whereas Loren was known as the voice behind Never Enough to some people. And like Sydnie, Loren also got a lot of flack for being a “professional”. I don’t consider singing on cruise ships and performing as a cast member in a play as “well known”. Bet no one who saw her sing before remembers her name.
