Skatepark are notorious for being expensive to maintain thats why many are left to rot
It was intended to be left for the locals but never came into fruition as the lights were removed after the comp
i revisit this every so often. still blows my mind they just built it and left it

I remember some amazing raves there in the 90s, it's S shape and gets scarily dark further you go, the other end of tunnel is used for bats to breed ?

Went back to revisit today and unfortunately the place is sealed I mean SEALED too!! You can see that lights are on inside from the tiny cracks in the side though which seems kinda strange? they were never on in my two previous visits? 🤔

This makes me really nostalgic thinking how amazing 6.0 was in the bmx community then just dissappear but first build a fucking dope ass skatepark in the tunnel leaving it for the people to use and maintain but don't give a shit about it wtf what a waste. If I was rich I'd get my ass in there doing up lol

Do you know the reason they abandoned it? I used to watch contests that they used to do on this tunnel years ago it’s a shame that is abandoned now ;(
They left it for the community to use and more people stopped using it over time and then it fell into disrepair, i would love to go there and re cover the ramps

Extreme Urbex, I ran past the southern portal of that tunnel the other day, I believe it is owned by a builder. I also had a look at the other shorter tunnel on that line as well. I’d love to explore inside, but would be scared of getting locked in! Lol
