They had a conversation with a religious doctor that does transitioningprocedures and one thing the doctor said stuck with me. "The bible says God created people female or male. It never states if that's of body or of mind." What he meant by that is that God created souls not bodies, so a female soul (in a male body) is still female not male. It did seem like the brother in the episode changed his opinion slightly or was at least open to change after hearing that. I hope your parents will become more open to the idea as well!

It feels so weird when your nerves are cut. I had 2 spinal fusions and a pretty big area of my back is numb on the surface but I can feel it underneath the skin. Not all of my nerves were able to heal, I guess because it was such a large incision. It took me a long time to get used to it and for a while it was both uncomfortable and hurt although it was numb. It's a really weird/uncomfortable feeling.

I'm so glad to learn more about trans, not only because I want to because knowledge leads to empathy and respect for others, but because I've always never felt like the cis female I am, but not a total male, either.
