First Public Athan in the First Mosque in Toronto

- Municipalities across Canada have recently allowed for the public broadcast of Athan at Maghrib time during the month of Ramadan. Many of us are accustomed to going to the mosque during Ramadan, however this year, with the pandemic, it is not possible. So hearing the athan being broadcast acts as a source of comfort for Muslims.

Subhanallah i’ve been here, such a beautiful Masjid, i’m proud of this beautiful moment that i swore upon 3 years ago amonst some friends. So glad to see it come to light. 🙏🏽

This masjid here has very few Muslims in the surrounding community.. I think most of the neighbors in the neighborhood will complain.
The Dundas Street Mosque at 3047 Dundas Street West was Toronto's "First" Masjid.

That building was sold with proceeds from the sale put towards purchase of 56 Boustead Avenue, a former Presbyterian Church, by Muslim Society of Toronto.

Really happy to see this but they could have inform afew of us who live just one block from the masjid to come and attend.
Probably the worst thing they could do as it would go against physical distancing rules, and then everyone will call and invite someone
I dont see anyone wearing a mask or the prayer hall marked with tap for the physical distancing as they had at that time so ya it shouldn't have been a concern if they had at least told the local Muslims around the neighborhood it wouldn't have hurt oooo well.

Brother Ahmed should revisit Jamia mosque Toronto again and try to revamp it. There is literally nothing happening at this mosques no halaqas, programs for adults/youth etc the mosque is falling apart nothing is being done about it. The imam is only there to lead the 5 prayers and the Jumaa prayer its a big mess and ISNA isn't doing nothing about it unfortunate no baraka if you went to this mosques decades and decades ago you would know what I'm talking about.

Not really you become brainwashed and a slave to the system. Think twice.
It was a unique opportunity to invite people to Islam but unfortunately it has been misused because wrong person has been assigned to do athan. This is always the problem of Muslim people as they use the wrong man in wrong place. There are hundreds of Muslims that they could do athan in better way and give nonmuslims better impression. I feel sad that we wasted a great opportunity ..
