Thanks for your videos! Very informative and practical. Excellent!
Marathon sprint? Isn't it one or the other haha Regardless, I will be practicing this groove tomorrow!
Sickness!!!!!! Bro *hats off*
Your freight train is rollin full speed.
That´s badass
couldn't tell if that kick was hitting with the snare. makes a big difference! really fills the groove out. awesome lesson.
Yea, it gives it that extra punch. I often will save that for the solos. And yes, it's hitting with the snare in this lesson.
thanks Steve :))
STEVO THANX SO MUCH FOR THIS "Rock & Roll" Led Zepplin Bonzo triplet shuffle chuggin along with my Maverick Krew ! Love ya dude ur the best !
You bet
5:54 Like a "footstompin music" from Grand Funk Railroad
Thanks!!!!
I like that opening shuffle as much as the 1/2 time Purdie shuffle. This is an awesome lesson! I'll practice this playing the "Lido Shuffle" at different tempos, but shuffle my kick. Keeping the snare, and bass from flaming on 2 & 4, is still a challenge for me. This exercise, builds up the kick foot, accuracy, and with that time. The fills on Lido shuffle gives me fits, and I'm trying to hold off from looking at the chart. With all the covers, and lessons on CZcams, it's very rare I have to find charts, but I can't find anything on CZcams that breaks that tune down???
Just played this for 10 minutes straight at 140bpm, my foot might fall off. xD
I just started getting into Lightnin' Hopkins, and he's pretty much blowing my mind right now.
Mojo Hand! Love that guy! Check out Fred McDowell and T-Bone Walker as well. Takin' it back to the roots
***** Will do!
can't go wrong with some SRV, but lately I've been LOVING Eric Gales
John Mayer. Killer artist!
Great lesson as always, Stephen! Could you please tell me the sticking for that lovely fill @ 00:17?
Was going to ask the same question.

BB King is the guy for me. His music speaks to my soul :)
Joe Bonamassa. And what are those cymbals you've got? I love that crash.
Dat ride...
Hi Stephe,
it'll be great, if we could see your feet in a seperat window.
Anyway great lesson!
all month.....lol, Thats right ya never know.. Good lesson.
"The Guitarist wants to take a solo, you could be there for a month!" Ain't that the truth!
Is that the sand ride?
Joe Bonamassa. Pure awesome
Kind of "Lido"....Lidoo, oh, oh, oh ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, Lido,,,,,That one is visible from the original video of the song. Very interesting to observe a very precise left-hand motion of Jeff Porcaro.
Such a great song...and his left hand...forget about it...
Stephen,
I like you much better than the other guy, he's ok, but you exude maturity in a very different way. I enjoyed the fact that you showed the whole family to the yt audience. Something that I can, at this point of my life, definitely appreciate. On the other hand, it nicely reminds me that playing in the shed and out around town with boys still makes sense,,,,Soul food. Literally,,,
Tommy Castro
favorite blues artist? John Lee Hooker
Favorite blues artist would be Stevie Ray Vaughan
Classic
Frank Beard
How do you play the ride that fast and with so little effort?
Red Bull.
But seriously, it's all in the fingers.
