I had this done almost 7 years ago when I was 23 my doctor told me it’s not for everyone, and the only people that are good candidates for it is people with extremely chubby cheeks. The reason I did it is because even when I was skinny my face didn’t match my body so yeah this “trending” procedure isn’t for everyone, btw I’m still happy with my results 7 years later.

I have always (even when I was skinny) had puffy cheeks on the inside, like when I smile you can see it. I never even knew about removal. It is definitely something I would love to do but now I have more face to go with my growing body and I think it might look weird.
The procedure called buckle used to be in the 20’s is when they removed your back 4 molars. This type of buccal fat removal is meant for WAY CHUBBY CHEEKS. Do not get this done unless you have exactly what he said. It ages you SO MUCH. Bella looks 50.
Exactly, if you are past your 30s-40s and you are still experiencing extremely full cheeks, that would be the only time to consider.
Amen doc!! Who ever suggested or made her feel like she had to do it was NIO friend at all!! Simply jealous of her youthful look!! Wait till she’s 57 like me wishing I had some volume in my checks!! So sad for her!!!!😢
I considered this surgery 3 years ago (I'm 35 now) . I am sooooooo glad I did not do this because I lost a significant amount of weight and my face looks very thin now. I can't imagine if I would've done that surgery. I'd look very sickly!

I do question a lot of the rumors about celebrities though because my cheeks were so wide do to thyroid issues and inflammation I was not aware of and now that I know and have drastically changed my lifestyle, my face is entirely different and it does have that similar appearance of a buccal fat removal. Just interesting to think about. PS- I sure hope when I am older you are still in practice and I have saved enough to afford you! 😅 xoxo

It's not worth it once you get old, you're right. Will you do a video on Madonna? Curious what you think? She gained a lot of weight maybe 40 pounds in the last 2 years, i think this also contributed to her face looking so big.
I'm 54 and I have really defined cheekbones but what's happening below the cheekbones is fat loss and I have not yet lookef to see what I could do to replace that volume in the lower face but it definitely creates more pronounced jowels and more sagginess along the jawline and while I love my cheekbones, I need some volume under those suckers.
Same with me. I actually wish there's a procedure that can get it filled again.
I have very high cheek bones and I'm having the same problem.

I absolutely agree not to follow trends. Everyone’s face is not the same. You have to do what is right for your face rather than follow others.
What about women in their 40s, 50s? Is this recommended for the elderly? Asking cause my doctor wants to do this and i'm 45.
Turning 58 and had chubby cheeks all my life despite my weight. I’m lucky that I have inherited good skin and look a few years younger than I am. But I want to get this procedure because now that fat has shifted into jowls and my resting face looks like I’m not happy as I’m on the inside.
Get the procedure, and invest in your happiness

Dr. Is this something that fat grafting may be able to resolve? I had the procedure done without doing my research and now regret it. I now am depressed and embarrassed to go out.
I have that naturally(age along with genetically thinner face) and you're ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.... 99.9% of the people should listen to the doc....DON'T DO IT!!!

How to preserve AND how to gain volume (for ppl like muah)!? Teigen is a proven child predator.
She’ll so regret it when she’s older. I’ve had a fat face which I hated and at the time this procedure was popular. Thought about it but just thankfully didn’t have the time. Now in my 50s I’m so glad I didn’t do it. I’ve lost a lot of it, but I look so much younger than people my age. Keep it you’ll be so thankful in your 40s and 50s.
