- Paris Choral Society members and friends gathered, flashmob-style, at the Beaugrenelle Shopping Mall on 16 Nov 2013 to surprise the shoppers with holiday spirit, singing the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. Join them as they sing Handel's great musical masterpiece again. Come to the annual -- also the original and longest-running -- Messiah Sing Along in Paris, France. Although I am an atheist I do say this is a wonderful way for sane society to speak loudly and be heard.
Such a beautiful performance - heavenly! This is so inspiring to see so many talented, gifted people singing this beautiful chorus tribute to Jesus Christ and His eternal kingdom, right out in the pubic square (rotunda?!). Magnificent! May God always bless Paris!

Aller rencontrer de futurs clients spectateurs potentiels sur leurs lieux de quotidienneté sociale! Donner du bonheur à autrui. Quelle plus grande récompense pour l'art que de donner du bonheur à autrui? Les Argentins, les Américains et les Espagnols ont plus d'humour que nous les Français......
+Fabien Oyhanetche Moi, j'suis brésilien (Sud-Américain). Oui, nous avons beaucoup d'humeur (peut-être assez d'humeur!) mais croiez-moi: Cette initiative c'était quelque chose de merveilleuse qu'on ne peut voir pas. Alors, soiez satisfait pour avoir ce genre musique - ça veux dire, classique - bien difusée. Au Brésil, le genre au courant c'est de la merde.

Car je me trompe peux être , mais qu' est-ce-que ça chante Faux ! allez visité la Traviata :Wonderful flash mob Verdi , là c' est de la balle , et les chants sont bien respectés ! Ils ont répétés avant ! Et c' est splendide !

Wow! I have seen videos of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus; others are a bit more spectacular....see 2010 Random Act of Culture, Macy's-Philadelphia for example; that is outstanding. This one is a bit more amateur and that is great. This seems more real....and the audiences, here in Paris 2013 or in Philadelphia in 2010 (Macy's), are so great to watch. This video seems to capture more of Handel's intent. I think many viewers may NOT know much about the origin of Handel's Messiah. Check it out on the web. You will be educated and probably edified. This one needs to reviewed. by me anyway.

Very interesting to hear it with a French accent! Well done. Though I agree with a previous poster: The piano was unforgivably out-of-tune for a public performance. The singers deserved better.

C'est un bon choeur amateur ... dans un centre commercial ... bonjour l'acoustique ... et ce n'est pas faux, contrairement à ce que dit ce Fabien Fournier ; en tout cas, cela sonne bien moins faux que l'orthographe de ce monsieur.
Il faut encourager ce genre d'initiative positive. Vous avez vu les sourires ? J'aurais aimé y être ...

Beautiful song. Wonderfully performed. But, if this is supposedly in Paris why are they singing in English? Sounds like a set up to me and not a real spontaneous flash mob,

OK, but should have sung to a recording of the pipe organ at John Wanamaker's in Philadelphia. The piano just doesnt do it.

Habe ein sehr altes ungestimmtes von Großmutter, das klingt genau so...
Ich muss widersprechen, es ist saumäßig gesungen. Vollkommenes Durcheinander, keine Trennung zwischen den Stimmlagen. Die Soprane sind vollkommen überlastet und singen nach dem Motto "so hoch, wie ich kann". Schrecklich.
