Pat metheny really is a god. I also gotta respect coming up in jazz and gaining so much fame. People realize he’s that good even in what is now not such a popular genre. He pretty much saved jazz. Herbie hancock just hittin his chords like “wtf am I witnessing rn”
i actually kind of like this. i usually hate him but maybe i'm softening up. in some ways this sounds so dated but i like how he is playing outside of typical western tonality.

I believe it was made to sound like a trumpet 🎺 Fun fact is that trumpet was Pat’s first instrument. I think you can heat it in his soloing.
