My father saved one Sikh boy during 1984 riot. We used to live in Sarojini Nagar government quarters that time. On the day of riot, mob was chasing a young boy who might be around 18+. He knocked at many doors but no one opened door due to fear. My father who was Indian army, opened door for that Sikh boy. Got him inside our home, fed him, trimmed his hair, beard etc and he stayed with us for week till the riots subsided. Hope that boy is doing well now

I come from a Sikh family but identify myself as Hindu. I strongly encourage other Sikhs to do the same. Sikhi is not a Dharma but it's a panth. We are actually Hindu's. It was the British who divided us. Our Guru's prayed to Shiv and Ram and it pis### me off when I don't see Sikhs acknowledge the Gods of our land. Major Sahib...Being a Sikh from Amritsar....I can't forgive Indra Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi for genocide of Sikhs. After the assassination of Indra Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi said on national tv -- "Jab koi bada paid girta hai toh dharti hilti hi hai."
It is the Congress who launched Bhinderawala at Amritsar when Dal Khalsa was created at Aroma Hotel near Darbar Sahib. Congressmen paid Rs 600/- as hotel bill. Prior to this Jarnail singh Bhinderawala was turbaned as head of Damdami Taksal at the behest of Congress. A messenger from Delhi Congress mr. Santokh singh father of Manjit Singh GK ( Delhins know about him) was deputed to make Bhinderawala as head of Damdami Taksal. There were so many options to expel terrorists from golden temple but Indra Gandhi insisted to carry out operation Blue Star just to win 1985 General Elections at the stake of Punjab in rest of india. This was proven later in 1986 again when some more terrorists were compelled to surrender because supply of electricity and water was cut off for a week. Forces made difficult for terrorists to defecate their human waste.
And till date Congress hasn't apologised to Sikhs for carrying out Genocide in Amritsar and many cities of county.
