As with almost all limited edition pieces from Claas, this Jaguar has unique to the series outer boxing highlighting their data connect feature which enables the exchange of essential machinery data. The model itself is inspired by a French demonstration machine.
At this point we have seen maybe 10, 900 series Jaguars from Claas and MarGe models starting from the 960 right up to 40,000th editions with a number of variants commissioned by independent retailers such as the black beauty Jaguars previously seen on the channel.
Inside the packaging everything is as we have seen with the model paired with the 6 meter Orbis 750 maize header. Being from Ireland myself where these machines would spend more of time on grass, it would be more appealing to also include the Pick-up 300 header.
The Orbis 750 is a very functional header however I have found these to be very delicate out of the box. Header and forage harvester are painted in a new green with the updated livery splashed across both sides of the harvester itself.
Functional features include
- steerable and swingable rear axle
- swingable and vertically adjustable discharge chute
- foldable and vertically adjustable ORBIS
- foldable pipe holder
- rotatable feed rollers
I am a big fan of the Claas Jaguar series and continue to be impressed the standard of model being released by the German manufacturer. As seen in the video, the new ROS Claas Axion 870 looks at home paired with this Jaguar 990. Is this the forage harvester which will find its home in the new diorama ? I think so.
