Late to the video, but her weapon is a drop spindle, which was used to spin thread before the spinning wheel was invented. And if you look close, her magic is woven to look like lace. And as a massive fashion history nerd, I LOVE IT.

To add a bit of cultural context. Even more given the inspiration it's probably tied to Aunt Nancy/Anansi the spider god. Her weaving is her channeling a similar power more likely than not.
