It'll improve your games latency The only time you'd have absolutely no benefit from having a higher frame rate is if you were already reaching your monitors refresh rate and you enabled frame generation. Also unlimited fps in games is kinda broken for fps since the PC itself isn't giving 100% of it, the best fps is the one right above your monitor's refresh rate since you're truly gonna be able to play the game since your pc will focus to keep that fps constant and u will make the most out of your monitor
What's your CPU? Because a 4080 can do much more than 1000 Fps at those settings (Plus thats probably not the absolute lowest settings). Not a max fps test, low load causes the GPU to downclock to its default max clock with no boost. Play high enough settings that'll cause it to boost clock and you'll get higher fps

That's not how CPU limits work. When a game is well optimised and CPU limited, drop in settings scales with your GPU.
