- These are NBA shots, but as the video goes on the arc of the shot gets higher. It starts off with low-arcing shots then progresses to higher-arcing shots.

the low arcing shots are hella impressive ngl
Scottie Pippen used to shoot laser beams and I never thought they were going in until they did.
Hakeem and Arvydas Sabonis had no arc on their jumpers
Just straight fucking bullets to the rim
i call those laser shots

That Jermy Lamb shot is one of my favorite moments of all time ngl. Just love everyone's reactions and the crowd being stunned.
Might just be the best shot ever? Impressive. The Luka one is also crazy.
The crowd didn't freak out like some of the other shots but it was still nice. It looks like the crowd was mostly fans for the other team because no one stood up after that went in lol.
2:30 was probably the best crowd reaction i saw.
@@JustMambathey were playing against the raptors in Toronto, obviously not many people celebrated the shot
@@JustMambabro said “it looks like” no they were fans of the other team it’s literally at Toronto 😭
@@texsion it’s just non-basketball fans watching basketball, nothing to see here
1:14 the "what's he doing?" is absolutely hilarious because that was an objectively awful shot with plenty of time but Barnes made it anyway.
His face says it all
It's because they had a timeout 😂

Whatever audio system they had from the mid 2000s to early 2010s was so good. The sound of the net getting nuked by a swish is like having a loud crack from a baseball bat for a homerun
the one that tnt uses right now is really good as well. i like how you hear the crowd really loud for like a second and then it’s still loud but not as loud
Can hear it anymore because the magnets make shots "soft"
Yeah that Kobe clip is so satisfying. I associate him with that good swish sound
They used to mic up the rim
The way Aaron Gordon looked at lebron after he made that lol
Its magnets
@@swae5ivethey swept them lol What you talking about?
Thank you, now I finally under stand the NBA higher-arc-y.
that was quite punny
Dallas used to have those loud a$$ mics in their hoops so when Dirk swished those, it sounded so good every single time.😂
I miss the loud mics you barely hear the swish now😂
brooooooooo same with Kobe, some of the most crisp swishes these ears have ever heard

Curry consistently knocking down those shots when he's seemingly just chucking it is insane. GOAT talent and skill right there.
He is just chucking it

He's pretty much jacking up those shots because the shot clock was running out.

he is just a lucky shooter
The Jeremy Lamb shot is always funny when I see it, not for the shot itself, but for how Kemba reacts 🤣
Bro thought that they lost
kemba didnt react at all in comparison??

A lot of ppl forget he did it twice to Toronto that year. Both buzzer beaters too
The Jeremy Lamb shot is always crazy because of how long it takes the ball to get there after the buzzer
The Brandon Roy shot is literally nothing but net.
That guy, his highlights are just magic.
No, his highlights are just Blazers silly
@starllama2149 ahahahahaha
couldve been much more if his knees werent fucked up
yeah they should have showed his face after he made that shot, it was right after Yao did a sick and1 fadeaway that seemed like it was gonna be the gamr winner too
It’s so sad what injuries did to that poor bastard 😢
chandler parsons hitting a 3 with an arch flatter than the earth will just be the most legendary shot ever
flatter than the earth?
Flatter than the earth is crazy 😅
But Jesus loves you bro
Also wanted to say that Jesus Christ loves everyone and died for all of our sins. Jesus also rose again from the dead three days later, proving everything He said to be true (before He died He said He would rise again from the dead). Everyone has sin and the wages of sin is death. Sin leads to death and death leads to hell (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) But Jesus died for our sins and paid our debt to sin, so anyone who chooses to believe in Him will be saved from hell and could go to heaven. If you want to make Him your Lord and Savior you could say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me for all of my sins, I repent and I turn to You. Please help me to live for You, and I love you. In Jesus name, Amen!
If you prayed that, Glory be to God! Please get a Bible, read it every day, pray everyday and please go to church. Jesus loves you!
I love the defender looking back at LeBron like, "Really, man? You had to do that?"
Yeah that shit was hilarious. Lolol
I noticed AG instantly after the shot 😂
Lol glad other people noticed that 😂

I like how most of the high arcing shots are desperation shots as well
Iron is kind bounces but they get increasingly bouncier and kinder
The Kawhi shot
I remember watching Jokic hit that rainbow shot live and thinking it went into orbit
Didn’t notice before but he totally traveled like a mf
Anyone remember AI launching one into the ceiling to shoot over Dwight Howard? Wasn't an official shot but it was badass
I was hoping that would be the final clip lol, that was one high-arching shot
That's the one I thought it was gonna be at the end.
Ai did something similar to KG as well
That that even went in is crazy. I’m with y’all where i thought it was the closer
Alen Iverson's high arcing "block this one" shot should be on #1 spot.
95% of these are high arching "block this one" shots. And theyre all more impressive.
Excellent comp! Great idea to start off with the no-arc shots, and great idea to use clutch/buzzer beater shots to keep it interesting. Knew Crawford and Lamb were going to be towards the end.
KG was doing absolutely wild things in That game 7 against the kings one of the best games ever
If I remember correctly, I think that was also on his birthday that game 7 win. He had a huge game on the boards as well.
0:13 the way aaron gordon looked at lebron 😂
Nobody gonna talk about how at 3:03 Chris Bosh makes LeBron look so tiny 💀
weird asf hes only like 2 inches taller than him
@@uuh4yj43 ikr I was like why tf does bro look a whole foot taller 😹

Angle
he really put these shots in a hierarchical order
The time you take to make these videos make them even more fun to watch. Thank you.
Good idea for a video, and well executed.
Having to shoot over a tough 7 foot defender and still make these high arcing shots; its so impressive
Very entertaining! Thanks for collecting these.
I'm glad that Dirk Finals 3 made it in here. I'll always remember how high and clutch those shots were in that series. Good job catching it for real!
KNEW that Jeremy Lamb one was gonna be at or near the end.
Absolutely insane to see Jimmy with one of the highest ones, given how absolutely flat his shot normally is.
Interesting thing to note, Timmy's long range shots were super flat looking because he trained more in making those bank shots from mid-close range, which is harder to do with a huge arc
Yeah.
2 minutes into a 6 minute video JVG- ‘I haven’t seen a higher arcing shot’
That Jamal Crawford clip is one of my favorite highlights of all time and I can never find it by searching Crawford shoots over LeBron thanks for including it and helping me relive that awesome moment
The sound design in these videos is great--merging the audio helps so much
Those Derek Fisher threes when in crunch time were something special. Loved seeing J Crossover get some love here, man was a straight up hooper
2:59 Bosh making the King look small 😂
Yeah why does he look so much smaller?? Bron is 6’8, bosh is 6’11, that gap looks so much bigger than 3 inches

That shot from Luka is tough, knew he was going to be all timer when I saw that go in live
I love the court side video of the high arcing shots because the camera loses it out the top of the frame, then you just see a ball come down from space into the hoop.
This was such a cool video dude good job 💪
Jamal Crawford looking back on that 3 was crazy
I swear the commentary is killer 😂 “it scraped the roof” perfect cuts on them all
Before I even watched this video, I knew Jeremy Lamb was gonna be on here lol
2:28 satisfying to watch the crowd put their hands up at the same time
"Look at the rainbow jumpsshot by Nowitzki.
It's as high as the shot clock, and hits nothing but the bottom of the net..."
"increasingly bad shots that somehow go in"

5:18 he's just standing there stunned lmfao
Halfway through the video I'm sitting here like "ain't no way I'm only halfway through this is insane!!!"
damn, that Jimmy Bulter one at 4:45 was so satisfying
When I saw Chandler Parson’s shot put first, I knew this would be an epic video.
All I got from watching this, is seeing a buzzer beater from the side stands is the best view anyone will ever have of one

Kemba all pissed until he noticed at the very end 💀
73 points winning is a game is crazy 1:39
Especially considering the clip before is Golden State with 76 points going into the half.
5:28 it's funny seeing how many hands went to peoples' heads in disbelief lol
That Brandon Roy game winner is probably the most elegant game winner I ever seen
This is such a great idea for a vid
Good Golly Miss Molly was a Bill Schonley phrase, hearing another team's current commentator say it oddly feels really cool and good.
And for the record, the higher arc your shot has, the less distance it normal can and will carry. That's how wildly difficult and skilled these kinds of shots are. So many so freaking deep, with such other worldly arc, and they just... drain like they were normal easy shots.
What the hell are you talkin' about? Your comment of higher- arcing shots makes no sense.
@@paulsinger8894 explain how. How is it wrong, and why are you correct in whatever your counter is?
@@TheCriminalViolin "the less distance it normal can and will carry" are you having a stroke?
@@rcube33 Is that what people are saying makes no sense? Really? You're all being extremely picky?
CLEARLY what I mean by the less distance it can and will carry is FORWARD - NOT OVERALL. Like, no shit, it carries MORE distance overall because of all the extra length of time it goes through the air with higher and higher arcs.
The more arced a shot is, the more velocity it loses compared to a normal arcing shot. Its basic physics.
@@TheCriminalViolin buddy, i think your problem is that it "CLEARLY" was not clear - no matter how much it made sense inside your head when you wrote it.
Like, what is "normal" even doing in that sentence? It feels like it's supposed to be the verb, but normal is not a verb. I mean, even in your clarification you completely ejected that word.
What I'm saying is, even if it is super clear to you, does not mean that it is crystal clear for us.
Even still, your point is somewhat dubious to me. Are you trying to say that at a fixed launch velocity a higher arc will travel less distance laterally then a lower arcing shot? If so, why are we supposed to assume fixed launch velocity?
If you wanted to say that higher arcing shots are just harder to be accurate with - just say that, man. Like literally just like that. We're only getting tripped up in the weeds because you're the one that brought them into the equation in the first place.
this is why basketball is my favorite ball sport. nothing else quite like it. not everyday you see guys throw balls 50 feet up in the air and have it perfectly land in a basket
Great video!!!!
This is impressive man, your editor deserves a raise for this one.
Stuck shots but they get increasingly more hilarious
5:32 is the human universal sign for “oh fucccc I can’t believe this”
knew the jeremy lamb shot was coming. that was absolutely insane
The Lamb shot arcs so high it doesn't even stay in frame. The camera tilts up to follow it and it still goes out of frame for a second.
Prime Griffin be catching lobs from anywhere on the court lmao
4:28 that was one of the craziest shots i have ever seen.
a best commentary/commentator moments compilation would go so hard
Nice shots!
Jokic being completely unfaced by a 3Pt buzzer beater is a mood.
the way aaron gordon looked at lebron 0:16 😂😂
When it doesn't hit the backboard and goes straight through, the sound it makes when bursting past the net is so damn satisfying
Brandon Roy’s career is one of the biggest NBA tragedies. Would’ve loved to see more of him
You've got to be impressed, bro watched every shot in the history of basketball to put this video together
I miss watching Dirk play.. it was something incredible to witness.
A guy who wasn't on this list who almost always shot high arching jumper was Ben Gordon. It was almost every jump shot.
The Jeremy Lamb one is one of the best calls/reactions I've ever heard lmao
Jokic laughing in the corner
last one is my favourite highlight to rewatch
I like how it literally starts with chandler and his lack of arc🤣
when was the last time you heard someone say "What a shot by Taj Gibson!" 🤣
1:05 Was hella impressive, idk how the passer pulled that off and blake griffin just finishing that lobbed passed was chefs kiss.
Stephen curry knocking down those high arching 3s when he’s just absolutely going in and chucking them like it’s nothing
Even the fact that they can have a good form while shooting deep is crazy
those half court shots are amazingly absurd!!

That’s those rim magnets
Brilliant idea for a video. 👍
That last one is just wild

Curry and Dirk kings of the high arc-er
0:03 what is that form

"I haven't seen a higher arc..." Oh, my sweet summer child.
clint capela made one from out of bounds behind the backboard last year which was pretty crazy and in terms of the degree of the angle was probably as steep as you can get lol
