I think you are something else, there is no way I would be able to do that, the fire place looks so beautiful. It changed the whole room, so cozy as you stated. I would love to have that in my living room. I just love your DIY's so creative and I would not in a million years thought of building a fire place. I would have brought one from Amazon already to go, love this my friend and yay to hubby and friend.

I agree with you Keta, you should change the color of the mantle. With the light wood the color contrast is jarring. But wow does it look great!
