Mission Impossible over Spiderverse and Killers of The Flower Moon is insane to me
To me, Dead Reckoning is a step down to the franchise. This movie is definitely overrated with a 96% critics score in RT. The story is generic, something we've seen many times before with AI. Clearly this list is flawed when one of the most disappointing movie is No. 2 in a best of 2023 list.
@@affiqothman Even though I absolutely agree with you about it being a step down compared to Fallout, I still loved the movie. The action sequence and the stunts are still fucking phenomenal. That alone makes the movie worth the watch. I have to admit that the story has its flaws but I still appreciate them not going through the whole nuclear bomb route anymore. It's an 8/10 movie for me.
Dead Reckoning is a great film on its own. Spiderverse is also great.

Killers of the flower moon…I mean I paused so many times and almost gav3 up watching it…but the story line is so damn interesting you just need to know how it ends…and believe me…even if u skip some parts, the end will recap beginning to end, then it will all make sense.

@khadeerdudekula7168 Sure! The Killer and Saltburn could be categorized as thrillers and The Killer as action, for sure. I don't watch a lot of action films, but I also really enjoyed Fair Play, Reality, Leave the World Behind, and Talk to Me. These are all definitely thrillers and I found them to be engaging. Some also have action. Just my opinion obviously, but hope this helps!

Mine are 100% Scream 6, M3GAN, Haunted Mansion and Five Nights At Freddy's. I'll get hate for this next part but Spider Man Across The Spider Verse is the worst movie of the year for me. It was insanely boring, not interesting in the least and it was all over the place. I saw it in the theatre and it was so bad I wanted to walk out of the theatre mid movie. It was not good in the slightest if you ask me.

Can anyone please explain whats so amazing about Poor Things? Every single video I saw on it praised it as one of the best movies to come out this year. I saw most of it in theaters and walked out. The amount of sex scenes felt excessive and unnecessary, and it didn't actually feel feminist to me or my girlfriend whom I saw it with. I understand that the movie didn't support how Mark Ruffalo's character was taking advantage of Bella's mental age, but having her continue to have sex and call it "furious jumping" when its unclear what her mental age throughout the later parts of the film are felt really horrible and uncomfortable. I loved the set design and I thought Emma Stone and Willem Dafoe had great performances, but the script felt so one note to me at least. Maybe I am missing something? Can anyone please explain their take on it?
@@Leo-nz4nf for my interpretation, Poor Things is more about the sexual liberation and freedom of a reincarnated Bella Baxter, who’s learning about the world. So the sex and nudity in this film are actually necessary to the plot
@@HorrorCritical I am not opposed to nudity in film, but please explain to me how any of the included sex scenes contributed towards "liberation" or feminism beyond a woman having sex for her own enjoyment and discovery instead of for a man, which is such a simple take of feminism imo.

I don't know about hollywood but I feel like the new movies lack inspiration, every movie looks like the others the same stories repeat it self some times I know who will die or who is going to be the bad guy from the start, I watched all of the movies above and no one of them lives to it's hipe, I rather watch animes they are more entertaining and muuuuuuuuch better story build, you can know that when you feel all the characters including the bad guys "especially".
Hollywood makes the bad guy simply bad and the hyped movie simply bad

Maybe you uploaded this video before watching Yorgos Lanthimos's Poor Things cause they is no way you've watched Poor Things and didn't included in the list. The movie is easily one of the best movies of 2023. I have an intuition that it will end up winning best picture and best director at the oscars. You've to remade this list after watching Poor Things to include it in the list. And BTW its pronounce Killian not Cillian.
